Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

This loss is torturing me. Woke up in a dream that we scored on a play I'll never forget; one that we had with :15 left that was executed perfectly off the draw.

Time will heal this one and it'll make it even sweeter when I finally do get to take a group to St. Paul. I do think this year has left me with a desire to coach hockey at a high level for a long, long time.(Or confirmed it) I'd love to coach at the college level some day.

Good morning Lodge.

I had a crazy azz dream last night that BSU lost to UAH. Imagine......losing to UAH on home ice with a home playoff series on the line. That's unpossible!

Good morning Lodge. As mookie noted, my #OppositeGirl powers were clicking last night as I spent the night at the HHT unexpectedly. It was a good night, including Coach Parker's number retirement. It was nicely done and not a big deal. And former Terrier and gold medalist Jack O'Callahan came back for the game. When I saw Coach before the game I told him how I had met Jack and Jim Craig last Sunday and he say "OC's coming tonight!" And I said "I know, that's because I told him about it!" I may head over to NU tonight as it will most likely be the last time I see the team this season.

Yesterday felt so much like a Saturday. Today's like a bonus day for me! I should probably clean. I may go shopping.

Morning Lodge

It's cold again.

It's cold STILL.

The high school playoff upsets have made it more likely, in my opinion, that we could see a repeat title for Edina. Edina's a public school so that'll make everyone happy, right? :D When the season started I didn't think Edina had much of a shot with Hurley leaving early, but they have been playing better and scoring by committee like the Gophs. I don't see any team that's markedly stronger. Best, and probably top seed, is Lakeville North.

Holy Hannah... I think the tickets to purchase the KBS at Founders the week of the release have already sold out. They opened the process at 11 am Eastern.

Good thing I got two - one for me and one for the mister. :)

ETA: Okay, maybe not... must be that many people trying to order them all at the same time. However, it wouldn't surprise me to see them sold out quickly.

North is good, but I like Edina to repeat as well. Honestly any of the top 5 could win it, especially with how this year as gone. I hope Duluth East wins it after all these years of coming close recently.

Class A is a weak field when comparing it to the "best teams" in the state. New Prague, who beat us, is a 3 seed with an extremely favorable matchup.

Hey, Lodgicians...

If you can spare a moment, would you be willing to go vote for pictures of my kid? Vote early and vote often. Or don't. Just figured I'd give it a shot.

One - Two - Three - Four

Good Afternoon, Lodge!

Taxes done. With Mr. LwB pulling off his stunt last summer, we were able to get a nice deduction.

Getting my fed refund in a couple days, which means the state's shouldn't be too far behind, either.

Spent the afternoon playing Monopoly with the kids. They played above their ages, that's for sure. They budgeted their money/had good strategies. Got whupped one game after one of them got the Boardwalk combo and built on it. The second game I bought up all of Ghetto Row (the cheapest property side) and the light purples, plus the RRs, and built on them, so I owned all but one of the first spaces you can buy on the board. :)

Oranges and light blues. Red and magenta as backup options in case you can't get the first two.

Build to three houses only. That's where the biggest rent jump is, and you can also force a building shortage by building the fourth houses if you're feeling like a bastard. No need for hotels.

Grab the railroads IF you know you can get all 4.

YOU DO NOT GET ALL THE FINE MONEY FOR LANDING ON FREE PARKING. I loved this rule as a kid too, but this right here is why games take 8 hours - it keeps injecting cash into the economy.

I figured you'd chime in after that post. :D

In hindsight, you are definitely correct about that.

HHT. Tie at Clarkson (sucks). 3rd place in the league and a 1st round bye. Bring on the playoffs!
