That was probably this morning...tonight he's likely to sleep in a snowbank...

Afterall, he did pass out in the lawn, and slept there all night when you were down a few years ago. I imagine, since he's 21 now, he'll probably get himself cut off at at least 1 bar by 7PM.

So Delta is changing the way SkyMiles works. I am not sure if its for better or worse. It's now going to be based on what you pay instead of the miles flown. I wonder if it will still be attached to the person flying, or now just to the account used to pay.

It should work out better for me, since Delta AmEx gets 7 miles/$1.00 spent (regular is 5/$1). Pit to Mpls is around 1500 miles or $300 round trip. So I would get an extra 700 miles under the new system!

As I understand it, the system is pretty much the same, with MQD's coming into effect if you have reached your Medallion level, but spent a very low amount of money to get there ie: Mileage runs. You can't get status just by spending dollars, you still get status by flying x amount of segments or y amount of miles, but they add the rider that you need to spend a certain dollar amount too. Doesn't affect me, I easily spend over the dollar amount for each level.

I care more about spending the miles towards tickets/partial tickets. I will never fly enough segments in a year to reach beyond Gold status.

I'm guessing that is to try and put curbs on people who do so-called "mileage runs".

Oh. I care much more about status than miles accrued. I want free upgrades, free Economy Comfort, and short security lines. I already have more miles accrued than I know what to do with.

edit: also, gold status? You need 60 segments or 50,000 miles to get TO gold status. :p

Oh, I meant whatever the first one was, that only required like 25 segments. haha

Sitting at the sushi bar with a plate of noodles hoping senpai notices me.

I'm gonna invent a time machine so that I can go back and abort certain people with a coat hanger.

I still have a boat load of miles that I earned with Northwest back when I used fly a lot. With the latest change I thought for sure I would be losing miles. To date I have not lost one mile since Delta took over. Last time I checked I had enough miles to fly nearly anywhere in North America 23 times round trip.

Survived the day. WHew. God heard me praying. The RN came in earlier than expected and one of my patients no showed at a convenient time. Feeling completely sucked dry. Like really people! Can someone book something for me that is just a simple ear infection?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

A co-worker of mine, whom I've known since Day 1 and one of the three in the entire company that I seriously trust, has been unexpectedly missing all week. He's gone through some tough sh*t lately, stuff I won't get into here. Today he texted me (after I'd reached out to him a couple of times this week to try and find out what was up), saying that he can't discuss it much, but that severe depression landed him in the hospital, and they won't let him go yet. Also encouraged me to do my best in the interview.

*sigh*

On a brighter note, recruiter for "Company XYZ" reached out today, providing a link to the website where I could book my plane tickets to Boston. I spent 45 minutes trying to get under the specified $600 cap, but finally figured out the right combination of flights. Maybe that is a test? :p ;)
