For us, it has. Although, feels like -22 right now.

And its not just the almost complete lack of snow, it hasn't been very cold and we don't have snow. I think I've plowed twice. Last year I plowed nonstop, it seemed, and we had something like 35 days straight below 0. We were due a mild winter.

The only winter we had more snow was the yr I was pregnant with lil. Mr les was traveling nonstop and it snowed every Fri night. I had to drag my very pregnant carcass up the luge run. The next AM he would walk me down the driveway by clinging to the back of my coat, acting as a brake, while chanting 'walks like a penguin' from the commercial at the time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zREwdYvd75s
It is a wonder he is alive.

I've dealt with snow. :p

250+ inches in a season kind of snow. There were nights I had to wake up in the middle of the night to plow, because if I left it until morning I wouldn't have been able to push it. The snow itself doesn't bother me, I actually love having a bunch of snow around. I just don't want to have to plow it.

It's funny, one of the weather gals actually said that we were kinda stealing everyone's winter with the way the jet stream was pulling the cold weather away and giving us the snow.

Going out for post work beverages. I could really use a martini.

Don't think of it as stealing, think of it as a gift from the midwest. :D

It's sunny and 5F outside right now. Melt water is running down my roof and falling past my windows. I don't recall if I've ever seen snow melt at such a low temp before today.

Combination of nervous and overly excited right now for our playoff game tonight.

Hockey season can end tonight - we play an opponent that has beaten us both times this season. Can be so sudden and final in high school.

My kid is only a sophomore. Can't imagine what the senior parents must feel like or be going through this afternoon.

For them, when the season ends, a more than a decade's journey does too as none will play beyond high school.

I'd be terrified.

Ugh.

All that said - I think we can win. :)

Good afternoon, Lodge.

Legal papers pertaining to RV.2 are signed, so it's just a matter of processing them. Props to my lawyer (who is herself adopted) for making this as easy as possible. Plus, she could have easily billed me for about 30 minutes additional time (total, over the past month or two) and didn't.

Lunch at Church was free, due to various prizes and rewards. The bill was about $40, too!

My back? It's just a very *ed up muscle right now, near the ribs. Basically, I just have to deal with it until it works itself out, although they gave me a prescription for muscle relaxers. I'm pretty happy about that diagnosis, given the other possibilities. I think the doctor was a little surprised when I could pinpoint the exact spot (prob no bigger than the tip of your finger) where the pain was (if correctly hit/pressured). It really narrowed down the possibilities of what it could have been.

Last year I missed most of the Superbowl pushing our snow banks back so that we would have more room for some more snow coming later. This year it hasn't really been all that bad other than the big snow we got on Superbowl Sunday. Thing here is that its been so darn potlicking cold around here.

Checked the propane tank today, down to 25%. Time to schedule another delivery soon.
