The lad has a 6:30 flight tomorrow morning out of Logan; only two days late. Some of the storm pics he's sent me are pretty cool.

A warm cup of tea and reading for school consume my time as I wait for the Wild and Better Call Saul to begin.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

The UAA thread is some seriously depressing ****....talking about shutting down both Alaska programs.

Got a nice surprise at work today: had about an hour's work left for my shift at the main building.....was told I could just leave from the off-site. I really hope things are looking up in that regard. I'd much rather get at home between 6-6:30 than 7:30-8pm. Usually, I'd be called over for that last remaining bit. We'll see how things go.

Interesting day at work today. I got my ID badge on Friday. Get to the building at 3:25, run it over the scanner to get in, it beeps, door doesn't unlock. Tried the other two doors...same thing. Called the security company, and they said the would send an officer over. While I'm waiting, co-worker comes down to start his car, and lets me up....at 3:45. Supposedly, the problem is fixed. We'll see.

It was also nice to hear this morning from the guy I was training with (who has almost 20 years of experience doing this), that he was impressed by how quickly I was picking it up just out of ground school. He then became REALLY impressed when I told him this was only my 4th day actually working flights and I hadn't been to ground school yet. :D

Everything's coming up Milhouse! Congrats, man. You deserve it.

Really threaded the needle between these 2 storm systems on the east coast, although the first didn't impact the areas I was traveling too much. Family in Raleigh is saying they're talking about half an inch of sleet/freezing rain.

Funny thing, yesterday on 95 between Raleigh and SC, they had trucks spraying some liquid salt solution on the highway. It was crystal clear (although, cold). That's just going to melt things so when it gets really cold mid-week, it turns to an ice rink. Silly southerners.

Morning.

Today's the warmest day of the week. Going to get to 21. Then back to 0 for rest of the week. But next week, 30s! :)

Strained a neck muscle Sunday, probably from sleeping wrong. Hurts to turn my head or lift it. Annoying.
