Good morning Lodge.

HHT

Currently in the fish house with the little g's. it's a little cool out right now. -15 but it feels like -42. No worries as the fish house is toasty warm.

Breakfast via the fish house has been served. Scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, coffee and hot chocolate. Freshly baked choc chip cookies for dessert.

I don't think there is a range anywhere in the state that approaches the Alexandria Shooting Park. They have 19 trap houses, that is 95 shooters lined up at once. And with the RV park they have room for all the exhibitors and sponsors to set up. Kind of centrally located too, easy to get to on 94. Need more rooms though.

That's what I figured but I wasn't sure if there was something similar somewhere else.

I can imagine the lodging will be or already is a nightmare.

Good Morning Lodge from the HHT. Need to use up a couple free Culvers from last week then Jr can use the two from last night too!

I can imagine the lodging will be or already is a nightmare.

I think the team has blocked some rooms already. Last year Jr, a buddy and the buddy's dad stayed at Arrowwood. They had a coupon for a free night when buying a night. I may look at resorts and book a couple nights soon. Problem right now is we're not sure yet what day Jr's team will shoot. It goes by team size and many of the teams have grown, so no one knows for sure what the class cutoffs will be until ll teams are registered. I may take a chance and book one night too many and either stay another day or find someone from another team for the night(s) we don't need.

Mornin'. It's cold out. And that is not including the windchill. Then it is butt-cold out.

Good morning peeps. Calm before the storm here. I was out the door at 7:15am, headed into the office to pick up my laptop and stuff I left there last night. From pulling out of my spot to pulling into our garage - 13 minutes. That's how close I live. If I drove on a regular work morning after all this snow? Probably 2 1/2 hours. Left work, went food shopping. Arrived at 8:05. Found a spot, had to follow people coming out of the store to get their carriage (and yes Brent, saw your response to my FB post, hardy har hard). Crazy busy inside. Heading home, I realized I forgot one thing. Decided to go hoe, lug everything inside, have breakfast, then head back out to the supermarket closer to me to get that one thing. Then I parked my car in the T garage. Not making the trek to UNH this afternoon. Don't want to chance it, plus the game is on TV. Going to make lasagna. Plus I have many shows to watch on my dvr.

Can't believe Scarlett being a sissy.

Mookie 1/2 mile from downtown Durham now and not a flake to be found :)

It's going to be -10 here tonight and tomorrow night, with a high of 1 tomorrow. Thank God I'm only about 600 yards or so from the ice arena.

I bought tickets to tonight's Wings game in September. Left at 10 am this morning to travel from Chicago to Detroit to the game. Made it 20 miles West of South Bend at 11:30 am.

Didn't get to South Bend until 4:30 pm. :( (5:30 ET) Turned around and came back home because the GPS said it was another 5-1/2 hours to Detroit from South Bend and we would have missed most of the game even if the weather was good the rest of the way.

Pi**ed I'm out the cost of tickets, but glad that nothing happened to the wife or I while attempting the drive. There were over a dozen semi's still in the he ditch and almost two dozen cars in the ditch on the way home.

ugh. sorry that didn't work out. didn't have a thought to go the day before and make a night of it or two? travel 'day of' is always tricky up north here in the winter. mookie was gonna go to a pens game with one of my peeps a couple weeks back that got nixed because of the snow.

Thought about it, but the wife had a migraine all day Friday so we nixed the idea of leaving early (we both were able to get a rare three day weekend from our jobs too).

I keep kinda second guessing the way we went, purposely took 80 from Chicago to avoid going along Lake Michigan on 94. Friends who live along 94 in Michigan said the roads were as bad if not worse though.

Leaving at 10a should have put us in Detroit at 3:30 or 4pm in good weather. Sitting parked on the Indiana Toll Road for four hours didn't help.

Our men's hockey team played Lake Forest in Vernon Hills this weekend. When we arrived at our arena this evening for the womens' game, we were told that the men's team was still in Vernon Hills, and that both 80/90 and I-94 were both closed, so they were likely marooned in Illinois for the night.

I had a semi truck power-slide while coming at me around a corner at lunchtime. I was quite happy to see that he got it corrected, as I had nowhere to go but the cemetery if he didn't get it fixed.

W00t! HHT!

Oh yeah, bought a 2005 Subaru Impreza "wagon" earlier today for Jr to use. Looks more like a hatch-back to me. Seems pretty clean.
