Morning Lodge.

I get delivery of a hard copy of the paper on Saturday and Sunday (yes, I know I'm old). No paper yet. I called the number and went through the whole process on their automated line. Then it say's "it's not due till 7:30, good bye." It is 7:29:30, stupid machine! The worst is when it makes key-click like sounds as if someone is actually there pulling up my account.:rolleyes:

I hope. I would assume that prize goes into effect right away.

And as for the newspaper, I used to get it on weekends, until I found that the Strib's policy was automatic renewal of subscription. After a few angry phone calls, they didn't like me anymore. ;)

Lazy day. Wife got us donuts for breakfast and I'm watching my 3rd football game of the day already.

Just got off the phone with Citibank. Saw some fraudulent charges on my statement. They checked the current month and there was one there as well. They cancelled my card. What a pain. Also, Best Buy's return policy is awful. I bought a GPS for my parents for Xmas. Tried to set it up for them, they decided they didn't want it so I brought it back today. The woman sneered that they have a 14-day return policy, and they gave people till Jan 15. And the box was open. I figured I could at least get a merchandise credit. But nooooooo. Not sure what to do now. Can I sell on eBay or something?

mookie was good after he got to see nufc win (for once ;) ). now it's onto trading places (top 5 christmas movie list entry).

Go back to Best Buy and talk to a manager. If you politely push enough, you should be able to get store credit. That has been my experience.

Good Afternoon, Lodge!

Got the oil changed in the car and found out more details why the check engine light is on. It is not that big of a deal, but it is taking a toll on the gas milage. Someday it will warm up and it would not be that bad.

On a related note, I just started hearing a grinding and squeaking (like rubber pushing on metal) when I turn my wheel. Awesome.
