It's easy to deal with 160" of snow when it only affects 42 people. :D

Or not having a raging OCEAN destroy homes and flood streets when it's 15 degrees and dump 2 feet of snow. This storm was a blizzard plus a hurricane. It really ****es me off when people make statement like that. This was a bad storm.

Just saw a pair of coyotes (furry kind, not people smugglers) out on the ice of the pond. First time I've seen them in daylight this season. I've seen the tracks and heard them at night plenty. They howl back at the sirens when ambulances o by on the highway.

I have to chuckle. Easterners: Houghton has 160" of snow this season so far, and I think that's below average. ;)

yeah but even for them that storm would have been something. They get far more of them but it would have had an impact. Although it would be tough for the winds to get that strong in the middle of the continent.

The problem with large eastern cities isn't the lack of space to put snow, the problem is they are always attacked by aliens.

Just finished watching The Avengers. :)

We midwesterners know about the trouble with big storms in the east. We get it. But it won't stop us from the snark. ;)

It's like Southerners giving Minnesotans snark about our "humid" summers.

Morning.

Warmer and rainy is today's outlook. which is good, cause my car needs a wash after all the snow, ice and salt.

Not looking forward to next week when we do our taxes. First filing as married. Hope it doesn't cost us!

s'upp y'all

aliens are visiting again on monday, dammit
and tomorrow as well. ugh. Thank goodness Mr les finally went out and got a roof rake. He had been borrowing the neighbors. Have I ever said how much I appreciate my neighbors? This guy has to be close to 70. Gets out and plows in all hours. Drives that plow like someone would play a video game. He can move snow anywhere without messing anything up. He is always so cheerful and wonderful. Baked he and his wife cookies yesterday. They were like little kids!

Tomorrow it doesn't seem to bad but it will hit during the morning commute. I was going to drive in since we have a game but I might take the T, leave work early, get home and get my car since the game doesn't start till 7:30.

Can all of you remind me tomorrow to pick up my Beanpot tickets???

Winds can get pretty fierce coming across Superior. When I was there we saw 60-70 mph winds out at breakers. But that during the Witches.

Mornin'. It's going to be a long day, but I'm gonna crush it. Classes and Quizzes, then rush to the rink, head to Red Wing for hockey. Friday is almost here.

That was one of my favorite things to do, drive out to breakers during a storm and see how big the waves got. Did that in a blizzard once, probably not one of my best ideas but the waves were awesome.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I've never really been around a blizzard and a big body of water that is open at the same time.
