Lottsa snow here too. Probably over 20 inches in the wind exposed spots at this point and still snowing like crazy. By the end we should be able to open the door, carve a few shelves in the snow and have a second fridge. Up to the grill shelves without drifting (waist high) and we are 'stuck' in the stalled heavy snow band.

Whatever.

We got snow here. I'm not making a big deal out of it.

:p

Good morning Lodge! Man, there's a **** ton of snow out there. And it's only 9am! Supposed to snow all day!

I'm making corn muffins for breakfast and then I'm going to make soup later today. Because I can. Because I'm stuck here at home.

But will it melt before the FF? :)

Looking at prices for new stuff for the master bath. Seems like it will be a pretty expensive pricetag. Oh well. Like I've said before, if it will increase resale value of the house, then it is worth the expense. Decided last night that the best route will be to just tear out the whole thing and get it done right away.

Lucky. Wish we had some snow here. Wish it was cold enough to have decent outdoor ice.

We've only had to plow out driveway out once with the tractor. Last year I missed most of the superbowl because we finally got the tractor going again and I really wanted to push back some of the snow piles that had built up along the sides of the driveway. it was getting to be a chute that we couldn't plow anything up higher.

Still snowing sideways here. Definitely over the 2' mark. Not sure when it's due to stop. I was going to venture outside to see if my parking spot is anywhere near close to being cleared, but yeah. No. Not going anywhere.

30 inches that isn't a drift. The drift by the back door over my head. (I am somewhere close to 5'2) Buried. still snowing.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Open the back door and start tunneling to make a snow fort! :)
Very fluffy snow. Howling winds. Shoveling an adventure. We got half way down the walk and had an avalanche fill the channel. No forts or snowmen :(

I read this headline: Never Say This to a Knitter. My first reaction to said headline: Yo, knitter, whassup?

After reading the story, it turns out I was wrong.

I saw that article. As a crocheter who sells at craft fairs, they don't know how to look for deals on yarn or pricing. $20 for a skein? For crying out loud, the most I have ever spent on a skein is $7. The writer is a person that probably only eats locally grown organic mush. In addition, people will pay top dollar for items that do take time. [/rant]

I could continue, but I already bore everyone enough as it is. :o

While reading that article I was thinking about people like you, selling at craft fairs. Something tells me, like you said, this woman refuses to make purchases at large retailers, or online for any of her material. During my time in college, I worked at a craft store that sold skein after skein of yarn. The most expensive stuff was $8 back in 1998. With the internet, I'm sure that it's become much cheaper for the raw materials unless you're purchasing the yarn from a farmer that only uses Dijon Sheep Chow.

Ah stop being lazy and just get the hose.
The hose is through 15 feet of head high snow drifts and buried under 4 ft of snow....... Since our foray outside another 6 inches of snow. Still snowing and blowing. The window above the porch is almost completely obscured with snow. This is amazing.

Our reps are in town this week and yesterday I was talking to the rep from NYC area about the snow. At the time they were predicting 1-2 feet and I was kidding him about it, rep from upstate NY was behind us and said, "Pffft it's not a big deal until you count the amount of snow in yards", then he walked away. :D

At least we don't live in Buffalo. That is what I keep telling Mr les

We have at least 1 yard. More on the roof :D Maybe I should rethink that :D and put a scared face. Tomorrow we need to get it off because there is more coming in a couple of days.
