I don't know how to feel about the Packers win. One side is like the refs are horrible, but the other side of me is like the Pack won.

Reading that has me wondering if we were just dropped into the middle of Valley Girl?

:p

I'm a Fulton fanboy. One of my favorite nights of last summer was when Vera and I got a growler of their Randonneur and walked to Target Station and listened to Paul McCartney while watching the Twins play on the screen.

That concert was unreal. My mom grew up a massive Beatles fan but could never go when they were in town because her dad forbid that kind of thing. I surprised her for mother's day with tickets to the concert. She was crying when it finally hit her what the tickets were.

I have to admit, that's pretty awesome.

That concert was amazing. Best concert ever, and best sounding concert ever. I could not believe that I was seeing a Beatle.

Good Morning Lodge. Weight loss challenge in my office starts today. I've spent the past several weeks building my base up to make it easier to loose weight and win money!

Well, I guess I can officially be done with hockey for this year. Lasted longer than normal, I guess. Go Mankato, may as well root for the little betting slip that says MSU-Mankato 18-1 at this point.

In other news, we went on a bit of a shopping spree this weekend. Finally went and bought some needed furniture, to the tune of about 6 grand. But we got some good, and very nice stuff, that we'll have for many, many years, so we don't have a problem with that price tag. Also, there was 0% interest for 3 years, and 0% interest is free money, so it was a no brainer. We have the money to just buy the stuff outright, but when you can get 0%, you take it, every time.

For Christmas, I got my wife a really nice cedar log bedframe that she had said in the past that she really wanted, then as the second part of the gift was to get 2 matching nightstands, but there were several options, so I wanted her to help pick them out. (they're custom made, so if I screwed up, and got the wrong ones, I couldn't return them). So we went to that store, picked out a couple nightstands, that will look really nice with the bed. Then we went to another store, and picked out a very nice new dining room table, to replace the ****ty craigslist special we've been using. The one we picked out is handmade by Amish craftsmen, and is extremely well made, and really, just beautiful. We're really happy with it, and with the price we paid, we're planning on having it for about 50 years. :p Also picked out some other small stuff, 2 extra chairs for the table (to make it 6), another cabinet for the entry way, a wooden basket thing to stash all of Beau's toys and bones, and other ****. It all came out to between $5000 and $6000. Now, we may have to tackle the refrigerator, since that thing is literally falling apart in front of us. Shelves breaking, drawers falling down, etc. Its bad.

Good morning Lodge. Back in the office today. This will be my first 5-day work week in about two months. Could be rough. I may need to get some coffee.

Narrator: I had it all. Even the glass dishes with tiny bubbles and imperfections, proof they were crafted by the honest, simple, hard-working indigenous peoples of... wherever.

Ha, not exactly. The Amish thing is more of a hand-made in the USA with solid wood, and not in a Chinese factory, thing. They're not made in some guy's barn, it is a furniture company that is owned by an Amish community, where they hand-make furniture, it isn't like an assembly line kind of thing.

Morning.

Spent the weekend reviewing Japan vacation ideas. Pretty sure that will be our spring honeymoon destination.

Also randomly found out the wife wants to see Brussels. So maybe we'll go to Europe in the fall or next year. Better to travel before kids.

#OppositeGirl powers in full effect tonight. HFT and HHT! Out to dinner now and they're playing some awesome old school videos. Fun night!

My flight tomorrow morning is at 9. Ugh.
I saw your football post and figured my Ravens were doomed. Though, this season I'm just happy they made it as far as they did.

More importantly, my hockey team earned the sweep. Now if they could just learn to play defense instead of needing 11 goals on a weekend.
