I'm buying at the *ht tonight. Wild and now Gophs need help on D and in goal. Never thought Gophs would have trouble in goal this year.

Mom's side goes back to 1600s Britain/Ireland. I have no idea who did the leg work, but the family tree is printed on a large sheet of very yellow waxed paper. Dad's side, we're pretty clueless, but fairly certain they belong somewhere in the Czech/Polish area based on the last name.

Came early to the Kohl Center to avoid the abomination of a football game and they just put the game on the jumbotron. Now I need to go walk around.

The 2 lines that I've actually got a good toehold on in Sweden come from Lidkoping and the surrounding area, and the are around a small town named Varo.

Bittersweet. Sure, RPI got the win, but my buddy's wife died of cancer during the game. Guy's a few years younger than me, and already a widower. :(

Nothing too exciting from my Swedish ancestors, they fought in some wars but weren't generals or anything. My favorite bit of information she has found is concerning the Scottish heritage. (father's mother) Her father (my great-grandfather) had supposedly made the move from Glasgow to Brisbane due to allergy/health complications. Turns out, he was a terrible jewel thief and was given options upon being caught. She found this out in 1985, a bit too late as I was named after him in 1983. :D

Scottish side~ supposedly one of my mothers ancestors was transported for sheep thievery to Australia. Haven't found him yet but did find a guy who was shunned in the church after fathering a child by on woman while married to another (both the shunned guy and the woman were from different lines of my family. oops.
