Good Morning, Lodge!

Interview this morning in Prescott, WI. Barely on the Wisconsin side for those outside the know.:)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I forgot my cellphone in a cupholder in my car at the park and ride; it was hooked up to the charger. Assuming it's still there when I get back to my car this evening, what are the odds that there will be any battery life remaining? It was 1F in Minneapolis when I got off the bus this morning, the Apple Valley temp is usually five degrees colder than Minneapolis in the winter.

Isn't that really bad for the phone? Probably not as bad as the summer but no good. I assume your phone will be dead

It's snowing in 202 land!

And the roads don't appear to have been treated. It must be the fault of our new mayor. One day on the job and already proven incompetent. :D

The forecast has changed from 1.6" to 3.1".

it's real bad if there is also a cup of coffee in the cup holder. ;)

Much worse if it's an opened can of soda.

They tend to erupt when they freeze.

I found that out the hard way. I was out of ice one night and tried to cool off a Coke real quick to make a drink. A buddy showed up and we went out drinking. I got up the next morning, opened the freezer and wondered just who in the hell puked in the freezer last night? Then I saw the Coke can and it made sense.

Puke in the freezer seems like an easier clean up than elsewhere.

I think I'll pass on finding out. Cleaning up the Coke wasn't bad.

Cleaning up Coke in a frozen auto after it seeps in and around the cup holder is no fun.

I think you meant to say if it's an UNopened can of soda. Those explode and get everywhere. An opened can of soda will make for a semi-contained art project.

Sometimes, an unopened can will just expand and not explode.

The opened can that I am referencing was in a cup holder that sat suspended over a catchall that had charge cables, cds and other assorted goodies in it. It was also attached to the vehicle, so couldn't be removed for cleaning. Funny thing too was that nearly all of the can's contents exited the can.

Good times.

Dad did another number on himself. He slipped and fell on some ice yesterday and broke his wrist, shattered it he said. I get to go take him in and babysit him on Thursday.

So the phone wasn't 100% dead, but it's not able to do anything. As soon as I tried to unlock the phone, it went right back to being locked and it wouldn't or couldn't find a cell signal in an area that normally has four bars. The charge was still 33%, so that's something, I suppose. I hard booted the phone off, and will leave it that way until the morning, see if it responds once it's back to a more favorable temperature. Fun stuff.

Howdy Lodge. Chilly here tonight. I should be packing for my trip to Madison. Suitcase is out with some stuff in it. I'll finish tomorrow night. It's going to be freezing so I need to pack a lot of layers.

I get the weirdest people following me on Twitter. Not porn bots. Just random people. Not sure why that happens.

I have the same thing happen to me. I don't get it either. I guess they follow you in hopes you'll follow them. Enjoy Madison, was just there last weekend, its a fun town.
