Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Went up and saw The Darkness today. He's laid up in the hospital after a trampoline accident. He's special...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I'm scared to ask, but what the hell did he do??
Family thing at Air Zone. He had been jumping up and down really high when he decided to try to bounce off the spring loaded wall. He didn't stick the landing; dislocated his knee.

Unrelated... Are you going to the game in Toledo tomorrow? I'm toying with the idea.

Yes. I have three tickets. We're going to freeze our asses off. It's supposed to be about 18 degrees (which in and of itself isn't that bad), but the wind is supposed to kick up. The good news is, the rink is set up in the infield, more or less. It's a 4 PM start.

Tickets are $10 each, and it's all G/A.

Wow.....just wow.
Take the $500 and donate it to Make-A-Wish or some other charity; and make sure it's in your name & then tell the old lady what you did.

I really like this idea. This is assuming she remembers to give any money at all. I am betting she 'forgets'.

If they don't go to Disney why send over the money?!?

MIL was paying for the trip :p
Not just handing out 500 dollar bills :D

Well, that idea has now left the building as the aches have crept in. I certainly don't need to be out in the wind with this crud.

Might see you for that St. Norbert series at the end of January.

Sounds good. I'm making sure things are ready for tomorrow now. Depending on how things go at the office, it might be a chinese fire drill to get to Toledo in time. I swear, I could teach a 4-credit class at Harvard on how not to run a business.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I would like to order a truck load of manure and have it delivered to their door step.

Nobody in the g household knows the scoop. Thank goodness.

I'm surprising the boys with a dog ths spring/summer. I will take the money and put it towards the dog.

Edit. The g family had no prior intentions on going to Disney/taking a vacation prior to mil making the offer. I'm not taking one because mil is throwing $500 at us. ;)
I could get you the manure, but the shipping and delivery costs would probably be well over that 500 bucks. Perhaps you should talk to bbdl about him shipping something to her front walk. Surely there's a barn or shed there at his parents place that's due to be cleaned out.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Fixed my furnace today. Had to take apart the entire burner assembly. I love it when there are things I can accomplish since I'm NOT that handy.

Today is a good day to have a working furnace.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

It's not THAT cold out. But yes, tonight is a great night to have a working furnace. It's beyond a three-dog night tonight.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Mentioned it elsewhere, but one of the local weathermen actually said, "It's a bit chilly out." It was currently -5. /Minnesota

Since dropping the lbs, the cold hits me much harder now, especially in my hands. I need new gloves.

Being a skinny (really skinny) guy, gloves are of utmost importance. Feet? I can survive. But gloves? That's a must.

Yeah, it's ridiculously cold in this godforsaken state.

Although I will say the trek between bars got easier as the night wore on. ;)
