Howdy Lodge. Took the day off today, yet here I sit at home on my work laptop trying to get some stuff done. I'm headed to Merrimack tonight and my friends I'm going with are leaving from Boston across the street from my office at 4, so I'm taking the T into town to go up there with them. Then the other day my boss asks me about my schedule for today as we are about to hire a new person on our team and she wants to come in to meet me and one of my co-workers before she accepts. It was either today or Tuesday. Naturally, it's today. I told my boss that since I was headed in anyway, I could come in at 3. So, they set up her interviews and they have me at 2:45. I'm going to get there when I get there. I do not have 30 minutes of stuff to talk to this chick about.
Spent about a half hour on the phone this morning with Comcast. My cable box (I have one of those X1 boxes) is making noise. Sounds like the fan. It's been loud the lat few days so I called as I didn't want the box to explode or something. Technician is coming in tomorrow morning. It works fine, it's just making noise. Then I asked about my account and how to change the fact that when I sign in, it says Hello James. Which is my dad. When I got my email account, I was living at home and it was, like, 20 years ago. My parents didn't have email so when we got the broadband service, the email on the account was mine. When I moved and set up my own service, I kept the email address, but apparently they gave me one that was similar as the primary account. I wanted to figure out a way to switch it. Very confusing. But I think it's OK for now. We'll see.
You could always change your name to James. It might be easier.![]()
