Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I think you were the only one who considered it an upset at the time. :p

Jr played New Prague his last couple years and they hosted the D6 tournament a couple of years. What a PIA to drive down there several weeknights for the tourney games.

Good luck.

True, and they were a good team. We definitely had more talent, but they played extremely well together and in their systems. Their coach, Chris Lonke, does a heck of a job.

Thanks!

As soon as I saw the number it gave me pause, and then I read on to see that I was correct, and then knew why Twitchy typed what he did.

There is one difference. If the counter here was changed to 64-bit it would eventually be broken also because of the exponential growth in Rep. How fast would depend upon whether we started an organized repping campaign again. The view count at YouTube wouldn't increase exponentially unless the number of veers increased exponentially which really can't happen for more than a short period of time.

I hope that it stays the way it is here,

They would need to cap the rep value one person could give with each rep, then it wouldn't make a difference as getting to just over 9 quintrillion would take a while. I'm not calculating that. :)

Big high school tilt tonight as Edina goes to Lakeville North for a rematch of the State final from last year. I'm not driving down to Lakeville, especially as they're playing in a tiny rink that only seats like 800 (versus about 2K at Braemar), don't want to fight rush hour to get turned away. It it was at Braemar, I'd go for sure.

That had me thinking because I live just a stone's throw from Lakeville North HS, and realizing that I don't know where they skate, there really aren't too many public high schools around that have rinks on school grounds. Off the top of my head, I can only think of Apple Valley. Rosemount's is close by, just a few hundred feet, but it's technically off campus. It's pretty much that way at all the various rinks where I've skated around the metro are. The private schools are almost all on campus, but the public schools not so much.

I can't think of a private that skates on campus either. Blake is on the Jr High campus, Breck is off campus, BSM and Holy Angles are both at nearby public arenas, as is Hill-Murray. I guess STA is the only one I can think of that is on campus.

That would do it assuming that the cap was say at least five orders of magnitude less than 9 quintillion.

Minnehaha Academy is on campus. That might be the coldest arena in the Twin Cities, and winner for the smallest locker rooms until a recent addition was made. It's like the original rooms were added as an afterthought, and they just gave the teams largest broom closets they could find. The new locker rooms are actually intended for whole teams to occupy.

Tartan is on campus, but I don't know if that school is private or public.

SPA is on campus, too, unless it fell down. Dump of all time. MA is REALLY cold and it's The X compared to SPA.
East Ridge is virtually adjacent to Bielenberg in Woodbury.
Park (Cottage Grove) is also on campus.
Harding's rink is also on campus, but they no longer have a team. Ironic.

My buddy who's coaching his daughter's team, he whines about practices taking place at Harding, thinks it's even colder than Minnehaha.
