Good morning Lodge. Happy Sunday. It's chilly here today, but sunny. Mom's coming over today to teach me how to make koulourakia. It's a Greek cookie. I got one of those Kitchen Aid mixers as a recognition gift a while back and figured it would be a good time to break it in.

Good morning Lodge.

French toast, sausage, fruit, juice and coffee has been served for breakfast.

Set the tent up in the backyard yesterday to test it out. Also fired up the wood stove to test that as well. Woke up to temps in the single digits with wind chill around -5 outside but the tent stayed nice and toasty. Only got up once to stoke the fire.

bbdl: having gone to many a church festival over the years, they will most likely have beer. Probably the 3.2 stuff, though.

Loving the chaos in college hockey. I was offline for most of the night last night, so am just seeing scores this morning. Wowzers!

Relaxing day today, then going to have to motivate myself to get through the next two work days until my beautiful 5-day weekend. :)

Good Morning, Lodge!

For some reason, I am not surprised at the results of the game last night. A team playing for pride (and a chance to get into the tourney) is a hellava lot more dangerous that a team playing for the playoffs.

Hey State of Hockey. Question for you. I saw that Johnny Holm is playing at something called Epiphany springfest in CRapids. I was thinking that we should go, but then I realized its put on by a church.... Since it looks like this place is by where you live, I'm asking you, do they serve booze there? and Will it be a helluva good time like a normal Johnny Holm show? I'm ok going to a church festival, if it will be fun, and I can drink beer, but I don't want to get into something that I don't expect.

They do have beer, so it should be fun. It is held roughly three or four blocks from the house, and makes quite a racket. They have been pretty unlucky with rain over the last few years.

I kind of miss hitting all the church festivals/county fairs. It's cheap entertainment, for sure. Some childhood friends and I would hit 4-5 each summer, for gits and shiggles.

Yo. Great day for birds and kite flying down here by Galveston today. Stopped on the bank for winds 35+, gusting to 50. Not much fun.

A little St. Paddy's day primer at the Landmark Center watching the lass Irish Dance today.
Tomorrow will be filled with watching more dance, a parade, and some Guinness, & Jameson but non of that stinkin' cabbage. :)

Good day today. Mom and Dad came over so my mom could teach me how to bake these Greek cookies. They came out great. As did the soup, which I've made before but having this Kitchen Aid mixer to whip the egg whites....what a difference. It came out ridiculously good. Just opened a bottle of wine and had dinner and had the cookies for dessert. Now, though, the clean up. Not looking forward to that!
