Good Morning Lodge.

FTR Scarlet I thought yours was fine, no need to apologize and your relatives are wrong.

I always think of this blog post (you'll probably have to fill in the asterisks to access link):

I like that blog post.

The last couple of years I've been participating in a "gift of sight" golf outing. It's a good cause, but sometimes the speakers get me ****ed off. Talking about how awful life was when they couldn't see, that sight gave them back meaning.
It's tough to listen to when you have a blind father. That and the law firm around here where one of the attorneys is blind and his siblings are "so proud" of him. I personally know two other blind attorneys.

I think the headhunters are ramping up their efforts...I've gotten 4 emails from them in the last 2 weeks.

Good evening Lodge.

The g family had a great time camping the past few days. I was impressed with the topography of SE MN. It was my first time past Red Wing and I didn't realize just how "hilly" it was. Did a ton of hiking the past few days. Little gII and I probably hiked a good 5-7 miles a day. Half of it "up hill".

In the snow?

And the headhunters are now looking pretty good. I am so fed up with sales and marketing, I just might email some of these people back.

edit: I mean seriously. I get an email from someone in that group (the one I mentioned was actually competent last week), asking me about Z. I answer her questions, we discuss it, and all is good. Next thing I know I get an email from one of the very not-competent ones, in reference to the conversation I had had earlier saying, "why did you talk to customers about X? I am in charge of maintaining X, and if you want to have input on X you must go through my meetings!!!" She didn't even realize that what I was talking about was not what she was talking about, and that I was talking to someone IN HER OWN GROUP, NOT A CUSTOMER. I responded and told her that, and also mentioned that her X has several mistakes, and that engineering would not support any issues that would arise from them advertising X with the mistakes. She said that I must bring these issues to her meeting to discuss them. I am not invited to her meeting. So I basically said that I don't have to deal with her ****, and I'm done supporting her BS. Little does she know that her entire group will probably be eliminated in about 3 months.

Woohoo! I got Friday off. I have no idea how they'll handle off-site (DHead Boss will probably run it), and I don't care! I need this day off. On pace to put in about 140 hours in the last 3 weeks, and it's starting to wear me down.

True. To be fair, since there is no conveyor system, no people except me and (usually) one other person, and it's a bit more open due to wider shelving and such, it's usually about 10-15 degrees cooler at the offsite compared to the main building. So even in the dog days of summer, it's bearable. :)

Good Morning, Lodge!

Still love getting yelled at for not keeping up with inventory when each time I purchase something, the quantities get slashed.
