Made it to New York. Got as much done at the site as could be done today. Ended up working with the same guy that was at a project I worked in Washington DC a few years ago, he is a stereotypical Italian New Yorker....except he's a nice guy. In return for the help I've given him on issues/projects the last few years he took me out for an authentic Italian dinner. It was really good. I was in the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island today, so I got around! :p

Hoping to check out Times Square tomorrow after work.

So, I got home today and saw a message from the woman: she was able to get me a Bill O'Murray shirt from The Chive! :D This, despite their servers crashing at the release time due to traffic for the shirt, and their notorious reputation of selling out of their shirts in a matter of minutes. Made my day, for sure. :D

I'm staying in Queens, right across the street from Citi Field. In fact, I can see Citi Field from the barstool I'm occupying in the hotel bar as I type this.

You would not believe the number of KCCO shirts and window stickers I see up here.

I usually get a Chive On from someone anytime I wear a shirt, no matter where I am. It's bizarre how big that company/site has gotten. Good for them, too.

There is something besides auto repair/junk places there now?

She was a Chiver before I met her (that was a nice coincidence), and I had asked her to snag a shirt, but still...impressive that she went through the effort. Told her to get one for herself, I'd pay for both. :)

Good evening, Lodge.

Good Luck Scarlets, beat the Spartans! (Never liked those NP kids when Jr played them, also hated having to drive to their rink.)

Wait...what? I'm confuzzled by this post!! I like the Spartans. I kind of am one (by birth). Though I was told when I had my colors done that green was not my color

Yeah, I figured that would be confusing. Mavsy is an assistant coach for the Mankato West Scarlets high school hockey team. They play against the New Prague Spartans tonight for the chance to go to State and play in the Xcel. The last couple years of youth hockey for Jr they had New Prague in their district.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

S'upp y'all

C'mon Scarlett!!!! Even Mookie figured that one out on the fly :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

So my big humiliation with Jr is - he loves chick flicks. He and his mom watch rom-coms all the time. He still loves Iron Man, X Men and Fast And Furious too, but he does love Sandra Bullock movies and that stuff. So now the plan is the cheerleader is coming over Saturday and they'll cook dinner and watch a couple chick flicks. Not sure that's gonna fly. Mrs is going to get in touch with her parents to discuss the two of them being home alone.
