Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

G'morning tLodge. I know I haven't posted very often but I just wanted to let all my hockey peeps know that the Mrs has laid another egg and the little chick is due to arrive in August! The current little chick says she's not going to have a brother or sister, but that the baby in mommy's belly is a boy. We'll find out soon enough and I 7 update all wheni find out! Peace out and go pats and go huskies!

First, where the hell is chickens that is morning at 8:44 pm central standard time? Second, the Gophers won for a road conference sweep but I'm not at the hht. They were out shot, outchanced and lost the faceoff battle by a lot. Not happy with their play. Oh yeah, Congrats to the chickens!

Congrats, Chickens!

A sweep is a sweep, so HHT.

And yay snow, although I wish we were getting more than predicted. :(

Good Morning Lodge.

Another morning of disappointment in the MN DOT. Snow fell over night so get the dam plows out early to clear for rush hour. Did not see one plow on a 16 mile drive on main freeways in the metro this am and all were snow covered.

I saw some plows on the road, but only half of them had their actual plows down on the road. The ones that didn't weren't even dropping salt. Oddly enough, the best plowed streets this morning were the city streets in Apple Valley.

Morning. Just got to the terminal at NOLA int'l. 4 hours until my flight, the only earlier one that would get me home sooner was standby only, and only would have gotten me home an hour earlier. Maybe I'll try posting up at the bar, or screw around on my tablet.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Roads were plowed on my way in, except for the small streets right by the house, and some other small streets I take when I get really close to work. Main roads were plowed though. There was still snow on them, since it was still snowing, and plowing doesn't perfectly clean a roadway, but still, people driving slower than molasses in January was the bigger issue. Seriously people, there is a happy medium between 10mph and 60mph.
