Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Hi Lodge.

Had a busy weekend. Enjoyed laughing at the few minutes I caught of the FFF. It was much happier than the game I was watching. I'd be at the *HT all weekend, my team hasn't won a game since 12/2/13. :(

Fortunately, I've been too busy partying at the big winner trivia table. The trivia league my friends and I compete in has a tournament twice a year. If you win your bar through half the year you qualify for semi-finals, and then top scoring teams qualify for finals. Trivia finals were yesterday, and we were one of 45 teams. Top prize was $2500, 2nd place was $700 and 3rd was $400. My team won! We're going to split the money between the 7 of us that play throughout the year (only allowed teams of 4 for the tourney). That was the first time I ever won an oversized novelty check. Although, we didn't get to keep it. It's a dry erase check, so they can reuse it. Still, I get to cross "win a novelty check" off my bucket list. :D

w00t!

Spent most of the day at a Track meet. Started out meh but ended up OK after all. Still not running up to potential but at least had a good race so his head is now possibly not up his butt anymore. He has been a head case this yr for some reason (probably lack of ability to train).

ONe tree is denuded and out the door. ONe more to strip and then little bits and pieces to put away. UGH. I need a week off to catch up.

wT: 2 wins since Nov 9, no wins or even ties since Nov 29. Right there with ya. Congrats on the big $$$$!

Headed home tomorrow (Tues) for 8 days. Going to be great to sleep more than 3-4 hours for a change. Boat life is a grind.

Good Morning Lodge.

HHT.

We are forecast to get 2-4" of snow overnight. Why does my weather bug on my phone talk about "Severe Weather Advisory?" Two to four inches over a 16 hour period is winter, not severe weather.

So, since Board has determined they are never ever again locking threads, are we continuing with this Thanksgiving themed thread even though we are past the holidays? Asking for a friend.

Tell your "friend" that the holiday will come around again if we keep it open long enough. :D

We should be thankful year-round.

I see that Dirty snuck away from arts and crafts time, at the home, for long enough to log back in and argue with himself in the GLI thread.
