I'm just going to the *HT now. Might as well listen to the rest of the game, since I'm a masochist.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Had a good day. Breakfast. Post-Breakfast Nap. Bought a new bookshelf. Used a forgotten 2 year old gift card to buy a toaster oven. Got BWW dinner with a gift card. Watching football.

*HT. Why do we even bother embarrassing ourselves against these teams... we are so mediocre it sucks.

hi lodge. i'm posting from the checkout line at meijer. i might be here awhile. as hammer stated, the grocery stores are crazy today. i even had trouble finding a parking space. i'm used to this in maryland, but have never seen it in michigan. unfortunately, i'm adding to the madness and stocking up as i need to refill the fridge from vacation

I decided to stay home today and go with what I had in the fridge. If I need anything, I can always go on Tuesday.

Dammit. I was this close to having the #1 teams in both Division I and III come Monday afternoon...

HHT.

Christmas again tomorrow X 2. Table is set. Cooking and baking all day. Hockey, then a trip to Best Buy to get lil's replacement phone (the 3rd one, this phone has issues). I now have a teen that is stuck to his phone again. I will miss him....

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Just got a friend request from a second cousin in Australia. Never met him but I decided to confirm, maybe he has a lead on a job in Sydney. ;)

He has the right last name. I confirmed with my parents, he's one of my father's cousins.

Just to be technical, if he is your father's cousin, that is if a pair of your great-grandparents are the same as a pair of his grandparents, then you are first cousins once removed, not second cousins. You are second cousins to his children. Colloquially the term second cousins is however sometimes used for 1C1R.

Bingo. I've been trying to explain that to FlagDUDETTE for a while.

I have the worst time getting this all straight. I can find them on the tree but couldn't tell you what is who.

Good morning Lodge.

Currently -16 but it feels like -35. We have had gusts up to 40mph so I'm sure we have had wind chills in the -60 range on occasion. FWIW.....the really cold weather is not going to get here until later this evening. ;)

For the record, my hockey team sucks.

Watched the Sandlot with the little g's last night. Classic!

Edit. Regarding stores being busy. Here in 320ville I would like to think that we are experienced with nasty weather and tend not to be overly reactionary. However, I was at a grocery store yesterday afternoon. It was busy and the shelves were getting pretty thin with merchandise.

MSP is fair sized. It has 5? concourses, but you could get to each from any other via the hub area. so it won't take long. 20 min if you walked from farthest to farthest.

Depends on what airline you are flying.

The worst is if you come in a major at what used to be gold ( C?) and had to catch a small regional that can be a hike. Key is to make sure you take the shortest route as there is a skyway that cuts across the open'u' and there are people moving options - tram and moving walks.

Thanks, I am on Delta. Flight to CO is an EMB-170, which I think are big enough to use the normal jetways.
