Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

M-NOT has been terrible so far this winter. I think they must be operating a skeleton crew with no overtime. Great time of the year to cut the road budget , but I'm sure they'll be back to putting up orange barrels in the spring and wasting money on unnecessary construction.

Saginaw County's road commission is even worse off. Take 75 north to Sagnasty and watch for the Saginaw County sign just before Birch Run. The second you hit it, the road will turn into glare ice, bank on it.

Good evening Lodge.

December was one of the coldest on record. The next few days are supposed to be the coldest yet. Great. Well at least the days are getting longer.............

Xmas decorations are coming down tomorrow.

So are mine. Oh hell, I could probably take some of them down tonight if I wanted to.

Yo. Slow at work. No surprise.

Schedule changes for me starting next week. I get to start 30 minutes later (10am). On one hand, it's nice, because I can run errands in the morning if I have to, but on the other hand, it continues to be a pain for ending time on Fri nights if I want to go to a game or something. Oh well. We'll see how it goes.

And f* this cold weather. I'd rather have the Nor'easter that the east coast is having.

What did you get me? ;)
When you show up to brunch you will see...

No. No, you wouldn't.

Yes, yes, I would. I despise cold. I'll take snow any day, any conditions. Maybe you heard, but our high this coming Monday is -14. MINUS 14. Gimme the 3 feet of snow and whiteout conditions.

Give me the cold over having to shovel snow any day....

Yeah, I decided to take off work Monday. As much as anything, I don't want to wait for the bus that evening.

In my neck of the woods, it's 17F and it feels like 3. Not bad, but I do wish it would snow.

I don't know man. That amount of snow is a lot of work and will test your resolve. Especially after the plow buries the end of the driveway in a 4 foot pile.

I'd much rather go to "work" than have that kind of "snow day."

-14 doesn't bug me much either as fortunately, I don't work outside.

I drove around in an 89 Corsica (4CYL) during and after the Halloween Storm. I go out voluntarily during storms with my Jeep to "have some fun." So, the cold weather can f* itself. Gimme snow if I have to choose. And my work commute is about 5 miles.

Good morning!
So you guys are saying it's going to be a wee chilly when I return on Sunday?
