Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Les, appreciate the thought, but my birthday was just about a month ago:p You even made a thread here then, as well as posted on my FB walk.:p

My 12 year old self must've thought it was dangerous to put my real birthday down. I've emailed board more than once to change and I've never received a response back.

My senile brain couldn't remember. You are aging twice as fast this yr. :D

Mornin' Lodge.

Saw my awesome god-daughter yesterday. Man, she has a full head of hair. Tried to hold her, but insta-crying nixed that. I tend to have that effect with babies. :o After that, it was a good ol' fashioned hootenanny at TK's. bbdl made quite the fashion statement last night, too. :D

I'm going to say it wasn't you; she was hungry.

Sorry we didn't make it out. By the time we got everything cleaned up and the baby taken care of, we ran out of gas. I wanted to go, but didn't have the oomph to do it.

I'm up with her right now. She's being stubborn and won't let me put her down. I don't want her screaming as we're in a hotel for the night. The neighbors may not appreciate her strong lungs and vocal cords. :)

Holiday party at lunchtime where I used to work. And I think that my stomach is upset now.

Happy Birthday Biddco!!

More Sugar cookies today. Had a massive decorating binge last night after seeing the Nutcracker in the afternoon. I have enough stuff to decorate about 3 houses without it looking sparse. Last day before the workweek starts for me. I need to do a ton of stuff. I am not getting it all done.

I'm assuming you're referring to the cat t-shirt, I cant believe my sister let him out of the house wearing that.

That shirt is so awesome. I have to protect it though, I think she's going to try to burn it.

I sent the pic in to the local radio station (Common Man, for the locals) for his Go-to Going-out shirt contest. Got an email back from Common, I might win this thing.

edit: Just checked, the pick is up on the KFAN website. I'm hoping it goes viral. :D

You haven't got a prayer, and the girl is right - burn it. Next bonfire, in fact it's a reason to have a bonfire. :p

Is that a gay version of the Captain Morgan's pose you're going for there? If so, you nailed it. If not, you still nailed it.

Good morning Lodge.

Had a fun weekend caroling and driving through snow.

I am beyond excited for tonight. I have tickets to Monday Night Football to go see my Ravens play! Just have to make it through the workday.

Still debating if I should take tomorrow off work or save the vacation day for later.

We figured you guys were too tired; kind of expected that. No worries. :)

And that shirt was tighter than it looks in the picture, folks. Oh, the horror.

Snowing here in 952land. Glad I have the day off, b/c I bet the drivers out there are driving like morons.

I named the kitten "muffins".

Working from home today. Had to wake up at 4 to give my best man and his girlfriend a ride to the airport, went in to work after that, got there a little after 5, was the first in the office. I stayed at work for about 2 and half hours, and decided I had no meetings all day, and I wanted Chick-fil-A, which is on the the way home. I do get work done from here, and my supervisor doesn't mind, as long as my work gets done. My couch is much more comfortable than my cubicle, and Chick-fil-A breakfast is really yummy.

It just amazes me that Chick-fil-A is as successful as it is around here. When riding home on the bus, there's a shop right there and that place is always packed. Always. The drive-thru is a good 15-20 cars deep most days, and the dine-in is crammed full of people, I'm told. For that very reason, I keep my distance. It's a chicken sandwich, I'm not willing to go through a line like that for one.

Also, in that same area (the parking lot of the Apple Valley Cub Foods, for those who know the area), they're putting in a Smash Burger and a Which Wich. I've had Smash Burger, and will stop in there from time to time once it opens, and I hear good things about Which Wich, so that has me expecting that entire area to just become a haven for driving headaches.
