Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Good afternoon Lodge.

Decided to get some work done in the office today and then I will head out and finish up my Christmas shopping.

Christmas shopping is quite easy though as Mrs. g and I keep things pretty simple for all of us. We don't go crazy with a bunch of gifts and such. However, the big gift to the boys this year will be......heading down to cityslickerville on 12/27. Hotel, Vikings game, Wild game, Timberwolves game and check out on New Years Eve.

Next weekend we head to the in laws for Christmas. Might need to see the doc and get medicated for the trip. :p

First Christmas without my dad.......:(

Sorry, g. I know the feeling.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Back home after a day out shopping. Went to the supermarket at 9am. Craziness due to the fact we're getting quite a bit of snow today/tonight. Stopped at Best Buy to get my brother a present. It just opened. No one there. Yay. Found a gift I was thinking about getting for my other brother. Bought it. Just to have. I can return if I find something else.

Drove to the post office to mail a baby gift/thank you card/Christmas card out and buy Christmas stamps for all my cards which I wrote up last night. Came home, put groceries away. Walked to the T and took the subway into town to do some shopping. Headed to Fenway to go to the Red Sox store and the flurries started about 1pm. It was actually kinda sunny out and you could tell it was just flurries. Finished up shopping and took the T home. By the time I made it here, it changed from flurries and now it's pretty much just snowing. Starting to stick. Was hoping that would happen later. BU has a game tonight. Forecast said the really heavy stuff would start late so I hope that means I can go and get home with out too much drama. I am going to miss so many games the second half of the year I really. Want to go to a game when I'm home.

I really hate this weather.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

My Christmas shopping is done.

Ordered the prime rib for xmas eve dinner. Went with a 10 pounder. If I went with the usual size there wouldn't be much for leftovers now that the boys are getting older and eating more.....

Getting ready for a Christmas party. We went to one last night and we have another one tomorrow night. Going to a retirement party Monday and then another Christmas party Tuesday and Wednesday and then kids program Thursday. In laws Friday. Not sure what to think about that.........

Came home to find a nice bottle of bourbon on the door step. A neighbor I barely know always gets me a really good bottle for xmas. Furthermore, Makers Mark sent me my xmas gift in the mail today. My supply of adult beverages is getting to be a bit much. I'm not much of a drinker and I don't plan to become one. Oh well.......

Careful... next thing you know you'll be looking for a stars & stripes bikini!
um... no. That won't happen, even in the virtual world.

Just starting to snow here. Went to the marked on the way home from the Sankta Lucia thing at church. The store was like a gost town. Oddly there was still bread but no bananas.

*HT I left. I never leave. That should tell you how painful it was. The drive home was not that bad. But the worst is still to come.

Officially it's noodles, but I'm eating them at the *HT because Tech blew a 4-2 lead in the third.

This team has all the mental fortitude of Miley Cyrus.

Speaking of Miley Cyrus, she was supposed to be here in Boston tonight at the Jingle Ball radio station concert. My nieces are there and Miley tweeted that she's stuck in NYC and due to mechanical problems and weather she isn't coming. My nieces are beside themselves. I feel bad for them but it doesn't surprise me.

24/7 starts on HBO tonight!
