Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Of course I am interested. Thought you got the message on FB.

Got my new computer! Woohoo! Asus something or other with i5 thingamajig, 15' screen or so. It's really thin! It's more computer than I REALLY need, I think, but I like it. It does have the Windows 8, which I don't like, but probably because I am not used to it. And same with the touch screen, which I will never use.

Before you get too much data and such on your new 'puter, upgrade to Windows 8.1. If it bricks out, you want to have it brick out before you've spent too much time and effort loading things onto it.

Well, too late for data upload (I have an external hard drive with all my backup stuff on it). Will have to update, I suppose.

Hey Brent, MNS, SOH, DX, etc....

I have a groupon for a distillery tour for some place over in Wisconsin, about an hour away. 4 people, I believe it is $20 each, and that includes a credit for their store, for something like $20 worth of whiskey per person. It was a pretty good deal. I want to get 4 of us together and head over there on a Saturday. You guys interested?

SoH, send me your address, Dammit!

Dammit I knew I was going to forget to do that.

We need to find a Saturday that works...I think the second Saturday in Feb is out for me, we have wedding planning stuff that weekend. Next weekend would work, if that works for you guys.

That works for me. I'm pretty sure, anyways.

Nope. You will never like Windows 8. It sucks that hard.

If it were a tablet it'd be fine. It's not.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Is this on 2/1? What time is that? I have tickets for the MSU game that night.

Yeah, on 2/1. I don't know an exact time, but I have concert tickets for Blackberry Smoke that night, so we'd have to be back at a decent time regardless. I figure we leave at like 11AM, get there at noon, or a little after, spend a couple hours there, head back at about 2. We should be back in time to make any evening plan.

I'm in. (Which is funny because a buddy of mine is having a scotch tasting event the night before. I think it's the fourth event now that he's hosted. This year filled up almost immediately.)

Cool. I'm going to assume that MNS is interested, until he says otherwise. :p So that would be 4 of us.

Dunno about Mavsy.

Was going to head out to the woman's place tonight, but since she has no cable, and there are 7 college hockey games on tv (8 if you include one of the women's games), she's headed here. Made a wise choice, too, since apparently the whole metro area is one big traffic jam because of the snowpocalypse.

On the bright side, Tech has 2 goals in the last 12 seconds. Down side, they were in 2 different nets.
