Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Good evening Lodge.

So, Mrs. g school won an award based on academic achievement last week. Kudos to her. Mrs. g is an awesome teacher and gives 100% to her students. She has been instrumental behind the scenes in getting her school in a position to win this award once they were nominated last year.

Looks like I will be visiting Washington DC because Mrs. g will get to meet the president in November (no comment ;) ).

I had a very pleasant walk to the cafeteria today and it's one mookie would have thoroughly enjoyed!
Unfortunately I could not snap a picture without the possibility of a conclave with HR, which ge did not want on his docket this afternoon.

That first trip back to Boston is personal. I booked that flight before I knew I was doing all the other travel. And I am not changing it. Might be the only time I see BU on the road this season. The rest is all biz travel.

As a matter of fact, YES! I am now starting to embrace the fact that I am hitting this certain milestone. And it's my mother's birthday today.

Happy Birthday ΜΗΤΈΡΑ Scarlet!

October is a great month to be born. I am not hitting any milestones for awhile because I have already hit the big one of the decade.

Looks like my flying this past month:

9/5: Houston to Tampa
9/6: Tampa to White Plains, NYC
9/9: JFK to Tampa
9/17: Tampa to Houston
9/25: Birmingham, AL to Houston to Tampa
9/26: Tampa to Albany
9/29: Albany to Tampa
9/30: Tampa to Birmingham.

Hope yours went as smooth as mine did. No real issues, flight wise. No horrible babies either, at least nothing that made me want to punt them.

JFK is the worst place on the planet

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

I saw an email a few years back where two college football players (I forget which school; it's a southern one, though) were sitting on the bench together. The one to the left was named Dingle, and the one to the right was named Berry.
That was at West Virginia I believe.

Happy Birthday ΜΗΤΈΡΑ Scarlet!

Its not all that shabby.

Debatable. I was at Terminal 5 (JetBlue). So it isn't the worst place in the world. Newark is worse.

My worst was ATL (hindsight), but I was a kid, and didn't care. Perceived everything as "normal." I didn't get the concept of a "layover." As an adult? I hate MSP so much. DIA rules, O'Hare is meh, and Greenville SC is great, only because it's so tiny nothing matters. The convenience store clerk is also the security. :D COS ranks along the lines of Greenville.

My least favorites are LaGuardia and Newark, by far. JFK kinda sucks outside of JetBlue's terminal. Not a big fan of Philly either.

I just woke up, thought it was 6:45, went downstairs and started my pot of coffee... It's 3:50 am here.

Happy Birthday theprofromdover!!
I have been in tons of airports but can't tell you which one was worse. Usually I am with someone so I don't notice

First class on Mavsy's schedule next semester: Digital Clock Reading 101

I hear it's a very popular elective at Kato. :p

Happy Friday Lodge. I'm bolting at 2:30 today (hoping my 2:00-2:30 meeting actually ends on time) to go to Game 1 of the ALDS. With Dad. And wouldn't you know, possible showers are predicted. :)

Lots to do before that happens!!
