Good morning Lodge.

So far so good on the camping front.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Even though the Twins suck, I had a good night at and around the ballpark. I'm a little sad that my local nine are about to be done. But with the end of baseball comes hockey, so I'm not depressed about it.

gmann it is not camping if you have reception and are on a message board at 2:30AM

Ha!

Barely have reception. One bar tops. Believe me, we are in the middle of nowhere in northern mn. No power, no structures (besides tent). Nothing.

I can't sleep. It is dead calm outside. There are a few owls hooting very close by and every so often there are wolves howling. Nothing to fear ( I have a 9mm for that) but definitely loud enough to wake me up. Kind of awesome but also annoying at the same time. Thank goodness the boys are sleeping through it.

For the record, the only reported wolf attack on a human in mn occurred a couple weeks ago. About 5 miles from our tent...........

Good morning. The Lass is doing well in her surgery recovery, she has amazing coping capabilities. Taking her to visit St. Kate's this morning, should be interesting and I suspect her decision will come down to St. Ben's or St. Kate's. She also plans to apply to St. Mary's, both MN & Indiana, St. Scholastica, & Minnesota.

She really liked St. Mary's IN when we toured it and i like the fact she could maybe help get me Notre Dame football tickets if she went there....but I doubt she will want to go that far away.

Then off to claim the pig from the community college to the south this afternoon. :D

We were at Primanti Bros. Last night, my parents wanted to try it. I'm hoping to get them to Church Brew Works for lunch today.

This hotel sucks. The pool was moldy, my apple at breakfast was rotten and the room is not great. At least I'm not worried about wolf attacks

Good Morning Lodge (barely in this time zone).

Smoking some chicken breasts for lunch and for later meals.

A French Teacher Trainee who was in Jr's school several years ago is in town to visit and will stop over for lunch. She didn't live with us when she was here, but we were a "partner" family. Provided rides had her over for dinner and took her to stuff. I'm sure she saw Jr play mite hockey or something. She was the first TT we dealt with and it was a great experience. Most of the TT's completely broke the stereotype of French and particularly French youth. The last one fit that stereotype though.
