Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

I'm 50/50 on them. Shop Cub more often because I live three blocks from one. Also, I know exactly where everything is in ALL OF THEM.

I just made myself sad.

Now you made me sad. I know where everything is in a Rainbow Foods. And I don't even do the work you do. :(

Happy Birthday ShirtlessBob!!
My birthday's off to a good start... I asked Food Network's Alex Guarnaschelli for an autograph and she said yes. If I can get Amanda Freitag's autograph too, I'll be over the moon.

Good Morning Lodge.

The new idea Cub has for its stores can suck it. Stop by the Brooklyn Park North store and be confused beyond belief if you feel so inclined. Cripes.

I'm still pizzed that they broke up the healthy foods section and scattered it all over the store so we have to hunt for the gluten free products. Never cared for Rainbow and none close to us. Byerely's/Lunds is too expen$ive for most things. Although I refuse to buy seafood at Cub, mostly get that at Jerry's.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Super Target FTW.

goldy: If you want to increase your cake eater status, go to Trader Joe's. They have a great selection and guides for gluten free foods.

But that would mean going to Brooklyn Dark for more than just driving through.....

I like Cub. They have everything I need, and the prices are better than some of the other places around. Never go to Rainbow, don't even know where there is one close to me.

edit: also, Byerlys's and Lunds? Please, I live in Anoka County, don't give me that crap. Same goes for this Joe's and Paycheck place, we don't have that crap in God's Country.

Thanks, I've been to TJ more than once. Not what I want to do often. Hell, if I wanted to up the Status, I'd just go to Whole Paycheck at Centennial Lakes or down by Calhoun, or worse yet the "co-op" at 44th and France.

Good Morning Lodge. So, I never received the postcard that got me into the contestant pool for Wheel, so I didn't make the cut. :(

I keep thinking I should try for a game show myself. Only problem is I can't get my family to go on Family Feud, and I'm not sure I'm smart enough for Jeopardy. However, I'm fairly confident that if Press Your Luck or Password were still on the air, I would clean up...

I would never be allowed on PYL; I'd pull a Larson. :D

Kidnap Pat Sajak's family and hold them for ransom.

It's a bucket list item for me as well. Jeopardy would be hit or miss. I'd dominate on Wheel. Price is Right they'd never pick me, I'm too much of an LFaT and they've gone to wanting people who are dumb because the prize budget has taken a hit and they're trying to avoid too many winners.

For those of us not up on our gameshow knowledge, what's the Larson reference an the LFaT thing?

2-12-1-9-4 is one of the patterns he used to run up his big win (basically, the moving light on the board only had about 5 set patterns it cycled between, and he figured this out, memorized them all, and figured out when to stop the board.)

LFaT is Loyal Friend and True, what Bob used to call people who watched the show all the time and memorized all the little tricks in the games.

...and walked away with over $100k in the 80's, when it was almost unheard of to win more than $10,000 on a game show. If you won $10k on a game show then, you might as well have hit the lottery.
