Good Morning, Lodge!

Bacon, eggs, and biscuits for breakfast this morning. Then later up to St. Cloud. Gilman to be exact for some get together. The mutual agreement between my husband, brother-in-law, and myself is to resist the urge to kill the hipsters that are going to be at the in-laws. At least we know of 2 baseball games that are going to be on so we have some form of escaping.

Good Morning (barely) Lodge.

Gonna be a hot, sticky one today. We had been planning to go to the fair next Friday - forecast is for 97 and humid. May change our plans on that.

I should wait for the LIRR more often in the summer at Penn Station. Nice scenary. ;)

You ain't kidding about it being sticky. It was nice this morning, had the apt opened up...now? A/C full blast.

Finally done with FFL studying. 6 hours, 210 players ranked (192 will be drafted). Sanity? Hanging by a thread. I started seeing 3.14159265359 as a stat for a WR. ;)

Rewarding myself with a New Holland Dragon's Milk Bourbon Barrel Stout.

The g family just finished up a long bike ride. F an a. 90 degrees. Dew point of 70 degrees and windy with gusts up to 40.

The boys wanted a fire tonight but no way. Hanging out in front of a fire with it being hot and humid doesn't sound fun to me.

Our FFL draft is Monday. 12 teams. I draft #5. PPR. I have been tracking and studying up a bit but I will end up drafting the majority of my players on the fly.

Tonight I will grill some steaks for dinner and then I plan on having something tasty on the rocks. I have some top shelf stuff (about 20 bottles) that I haven't even tried yet. Might have to get on that..........

Kenbrell Thompkins. WR. NE. ;) Might not be much of a sleeper now. A week ago? Total "who the f* is HE?"

Had just two fingers of the Laphroaig Triplewood last night; one of the first "treats" I'm getting with the OT funds. It was quite enough to set the mood right. Wowzers.

In MY league? 5th round or so.* He's gotten a lot of hype in the past week, so it depends on how your league usually responds to recent hype. He may be over-valued in some leagues. Slotted as #2 guy in NE currently.

*Our league is hardcore (read: insane) enough to take chances on sleepers like this, or even players that are 3rd string right now, b/c we expect them to be stars by the end of the season. Given how many players are taken...we've been known to look at 4th string RBs and 5th string WRs. Think of it this way: with 192 players taken (no defense or special teams), that's over 6 players PER NFL TEAM that are taken, and let's face it, teams like AZ? They ain't getting 6 of their players taken...

Ever been to Jack & Jim's in Duelm? Decent brunch buffet. It's not Fitz's, but it'll do. And the Lake Cafe in Big Lake, obviously.
