Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

This is what I do, but with the Kindle. I usually have 2-3 books on that thing before any kind of trip on an airplane.

You have to turn off the Kindle while waiting to take-off (can be a loooong time), on the approach and landing. I keep reading.

Yeah, that is my biggest complaint, and the reason why I held out buying a kindle for so long. Sometimes I bring an actual book or magazine to read specifically at that time. Hopefully soon the FAA pulls their heads out of their asses and fixes that rule.

The positions I'm looking at are just with another group, that is actually pretty closely aligned/related to my current group. We are encouraged to move around, and change positions every 3-5 years, and I'm going on 5 years in this role, so it is pretty much expected that this move should be happening soon. The reason I haven't done it yet is because I generally really have liked the work I am doing now.

Now I need to figure out which position to apply for. There are 2 I'm considering, one that is a little bit of a reach, based on my experience, as it asks for 10 years experience, but I knock all other requirements out of the park, probably enough so that based on my resume I'd be the most qualified one applying. The other has almost the exact job description, but it is less responsibility, one pay grade lower, and only requires 4-6 years experience. I really want to go for the bigger role, as I feel I am qualified, but I don't want to look silly in front of some pretty big-time managers for applying and interviewing for a position that is over my head. Not sure what to do.

Go big. Especially since you can knock most of the requirements out of the park. It should at a bare minimum send a message to the higher ups that you are interested in bigger things than say making a lateral move or maybe even dumbing it down a notch.

Good Morning Lodge - back to work today for me....

So that's what massage monsters in Michigan are calling it these days....
The iliacus is one of the hip flexor muscles. Its tucked in just on the inside of your pelvis bone and runs down to attach onto the upper part of the femur.
Iliacus.
when working it, we usually work the psoas major mucsle as well, and needless to say, you don't want to have a big lunch right before your session, among other things like gas. Because if you're trying to hold back a fart when you're getting any of the lower iliopsoas worked on, its just going to hurt worse because you're not relaxing.

S'upp y'all
*gulp*
The little things like picturing you waking up from a sound sleep like a dog that just heard a dog whistle are what help me get thru the day Mookie.

Had a tour group from Asia (mostly China, but some other places, too) today. One was right up mookie's alley. She was a looker.

Already on OT as of 7pm tonight. Starting early tomorrow.

"Ghost Shark" was definitely the answer to stress relief tonight.

He's in Pittsburgh, not Miami/Tampa/Orlando/Phoenix/*Insert Airports With High Probability of Numerous Hot Chicks Here*. ;)

I've already forgotten what Pittsburgh was like... my brain goes straight to border control at Trudeau.

You know what? That Broadway store was pretty nice. They got a new store director a year ago, and it shows. This guy knows his stuff. Much better than the Nicollet store I was at today. Yuck.
