I have to do that as a business analyst - no bonus. The developers and project managers in my area of the company all have to do that - no bonuses for them either. Enough pity party, buck up and enjoy the inanity of Corporate America living.Good evening... Next week we become the first federal agency to itemize all our weekly tasks... Developed in house... Which will undoubtedly give some toolbox a shiny award... Because scientific innovation on an incredibly tight time frame with all the blame for failure is worth jack ****. Bitter, me no...
So yeah, we have to list all hours to sponsored projects and all kinds of inanities. As another coworker mentioned, in environments where this (billing) is done people get massive bonuses for doing a good job... Me, I get told I get to keep mine... Just like everybody else.
And people wonder why I'm annoyed

Stand Up Frank's.....where a bottle of mix (tonic, 7-Up, sour, ect.) lasted for decades.![]()
Stand Up Frank's. I went there a couple times back in the mid 1990's. The drinks were all gas. A good place to go for one and that's about it.
Sounds like a couple Lodgers are fed up with their jobs. I am close to joining that group. Might start looking to see if the grass is greener somewhere else. I have a good gig currently but it can't hurt to look.
I'm not near that point yet. Overall, I have a good gig, and the retirement stuff (although that's decades away) is pretty dang awesome. Plus, if I even consider changing jobs, moving to CO would be in the mix, if the gig is good enough. Would be keeping the options open and all that jazz.

I have a better than decent situation. However, I'm interested in a change. Might try to kick a few tires and see what happens. However, moving is not an option and I need to be smart and avoid small town politics if you know what I mean.
