Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Brent, sorry for your loss.

If only there were a thread for singles.....
There probably isn't though. So I guess I'll post in the Lodge. Boyfriend moved out. I love having my house to myself again.

Headed up North tomorrow (though not as far North as the Biddlyn wedding). Parents are renting a place on Lake Charlevoix. Gonna take a long weekend. I am so excited for sleeping in, seeing my parents and just taking it slow for a few days.
Its floating around somewhere, just that nobody has used it in a while.

And with MEg getting hitched this weekend, I do believe that brings the count of friends on Facebook that have gotten married this summer up to 10. Although her ceremony being at center ice at MacInnes is pretty dang cool, just the sheer number of weddings has gotten a bit sickening. Not to mention that another one of the weddings was of a pretty close friend of mine from college who didn't send me an invite, which does have me a bit miffed about it. Of course, probably would have left me stuck at the singles table with probably a bunch of other dudes as well, so not really helpful.

While I'm not quite to "Bunch of friends getting married" status, I AM at "Bunch of friends getting engaged" status. Meanwhile, I'm just sitting over here doin' my single thang. Meh, I'm not ready to get hitched for atleast a few more years anyways, still have toys to buy, that way there are no "compromise purchases." ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

My girlfriend and I have been discussing this for a while...and I agreed a few weeks ago to it....so yesterday, we bought a puppy.

I have wanted a dog for a while, but I couldn't buy one with as much as I have traveled in the recent past. Now that gf is moving in at the end of the month, it will be much easier to have 2 of us to take care of the little guy. We named him Beau (short for Beauregard), and he's light yellow lab. He doesn't like his kennel, but he's going to have to learn to deal with it, he's not getting free range of the house while we're gone for quite a while.

My friends are already married, now they're onto having kids. Great for them... I'm not ready to have kids of my own. I don't want to picture having a Mini-Me.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Is this the part where I say that my friends are having grandkids

If lil produced a grandkid right now I would not be responsible for my actions

You complain about people posting pics of their kids on Facebook and then you post a pic of your new dog?

;)

Home today. I went to the Justin Timberlake/Jay Z concert at Fenway Park last night. Long day, lot of walking and standing and my foot was very sore when I got home. Show was crazy good. Maybe it's a culture thing but Jay Z just does nothing for me. Granted, I'm a bit biased as I have been a Justin fan from the early days but the guy knows how to perform. I felt he had a more prevalent performance. He seemed more engaged in the crowd. He's very good on stage.

These girls sitting two rows in front of me were smoking weed and the wind was blowing it back. I was aggravated not because it was weed but because Fenway is smoke free. So, I hobbled down the stairs and talked to security. I was hoping they would kick them out but he just made them stop.

As I hobbled back to my car, I had the pleasure - and I mean that very sarcastically - of watching a girl pop and squat an pee right next to a parked car on the street. Really? You couldn't have gone at the ballpark?

Anyway, I'm going to go make breakfast and take some Tylenol.

On the board, she's not [redacted]. I don't know if it matters to her or not that her real name is used, but you shouldn't just toss out someone's name like that. Some people get pretty protective of letting out potential stocker info.

Yeah. Yeah, she did just fine. :p

What about those of us who have met her?
Join in on the Vera shout out, too. It'll make her reaction all the better. But since soh reads this, he'll probably tip her off that it's all going down and it'll lose its punch.

Or he could play along with it and watch a whole bunch of Cheers leading up to it.

Morning.

Another great weather day here. A few of my friends have gotten married in the last year or so.

Make sure he lives, someone needs to raise the grand kid! ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Booked a trip to Charleston the last week of August. Tuesday-Friday. I have some testing going on down there at one of our Tech Centers, so I figured it was a good chance to go down there and see the facility, and get some additional testing done that I have to do myself, for a specific customer. Supervisor gave the "OK" and it is booked. :)

edit: mmmmmmmm, seafood

Somehow I even knew that, so it can't be much of a secret.

Yeah, I think most people in this thread, TRP or even HG-YBI would know this bit of trivia. Still, if there's some new guy, a stalker perhaps (or "stocker", as I wrote earlier...whoops), then she's in for some bad mojo. I just think it's better to reference people on this site by their chosen usernames while actually using this site.
