Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #167: Weather

Ugh. Flying United (again) Tampa-Houston-Baton Rouge. Back to the boat tonight, but we'll be going in to the shipyard for routine maintenance within a week probably. Then who knows where they'll send me.

Remember when Priceless said he was done posting here forever? Those were the days.....

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #167: Weather

Seriously. I'm practically gouging my eyes out from some of the crud in the political threads. Can I get a beer?
I'll stay away from them for a few months, then wander back, stay long enough to get thoroughly ****ed off with the certain posse of posters in there, then avoid the political threads again for a few months.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #167: Weather

Wandered into the marriage thread (my Godparents came out when one of them died- it was in her obit- so sad) but assiduously avoid all the others. People would rather rant then actually try to understand what the other side says. I used to learn things in there but not with the 2 extremist sides just swinging away. :( No politics in here. This is the nice thread.

I have no interest in starting fights here. With some of the posters, it's difficult to understand what the other side says because you have to read through a whole bunch of party-related insults. Oh well, the bartender gave me a couple beers. *passes one*

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #167: Weather

A friend on Facebook commented on a friend of hers who posted a pic of her new grandchild. And the kid's name was Jaxon. I wanted to post "What a stupid spelling" but thought my friend might get mad. :) Seriously? Jackson. Not difficult. Enough with the cre8tive spellyn of names.

It was just starting to rain earlier. Naturally, I did not bring an umbrella. If I had brought one, it would be totally sunny out right now.

I have a friend with a kid named Maxon.

I take it back. Some of you might need the shovel more than I do.

Got to the off-site parking for my flight (supposed to leave at 6:24) at 4:45. An hour and 45 minutes early. Should be enough time, right? Nope, got to airport at 6:00. Stupid shuttle driver decided to dick around and take his sweet time, so I couldn't check my bag. Fixed it by using Southwest points to book the last flight tonight into NOLA, and all will work out in the end. Good riddence.

Must be getting popular. My cousin named her kid Jaxon three years ago.

Watched about half the Wings game from the patio (thank you for lucky placement of tv!). Gorgeous night here.
