Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Meh HT tonight. A tie against... Brown. Ugh.

Still no power at home. Main breaker is toast. Need a whole new panel. The guy will be at the house tomorrow morning by 8:30. Ugh.

All my euphoria of beating Ylae last night has gone away today. Ugh.

A sunday main panel change, that can't be cheap

Good morning to tLodge! ;)

A balmy 51 degrees in here this morning! Before next winter I've got to look into alternate heat and power sources, or maybe even consider another abode altogether.

It's actually not as bad as I thought. More than I want to be spending with upcoming hockey travel, but not outrageous.

* HT. Meh, still control our own destiny for 2nd. Big weekend next weekend.

Although both of out teams control our own destiny, and I too would like to finish as high as possible, it doesn't make all that much difference as long as we finish in the top four and get a bye. Who can predict the opponent and which one would be better at this point? Perhaps second or third is better than fourth since it means we won't play QU in the semis.

BTW, don't ruin our Senior Night as we just did to Colgate. ;)

BTW, I forgot to post HHT, due to euphoria and a crappy internet connection :)

Well, I would greatly prefer 2nd over the others. If by chance Qpac gets knocked out before AC, that leaves 2nd as top dog. Also, potential home team for semis, where last change could be the difference with how tight the league is this year.

We had our senior night parade rained on by Dartmouth, it's only fair if we do the same to you guys ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Good morning Lodge. Up early, walked on the treadmill for 40 minutes, first load of laundry in the works. Coffee should just about be ready. And stressing out over the weather for the week. We're supposed to get a midweek storm and I'm supposed to fly first thing Wednesday morning and fly home Thursday night and that's the timing of the storm. And because this weekend's storm was a bust (all rain sod far) I have a feeling this week's storm will be huge. And I will get stuck in St. Louis. Provided I get there. I should pack accordingly.

That said, Academy Awards tonight!!!!!

What brand of panel burned up? Federal Pacific would be the first to come to mind

Morning, yo.

The Academy Awards, huh? I might actually tune in to those. It'll be interesting to see how some of the categories turn out.

SquareD. It was installed in 1982.

The electrician said he's never seen one do this. With just a single 60w light as a load, the voltage drops on one leg and rises on the other.

The old panel is out and the new one's in place. Working on rewiring now.

FWIW

Before the last Olympics the women's olympic hockey team played the NAHL Alexandria Blizzard. The Blizzard were a bottom tier team in their conference at the time. They beat the women's team 6-0 and it wasn't even that close. ;)

I would venture to say that the MN boys state champ in either class would beat the best DI women's team.
Rochester Century, an average to slightly below average AA team beat them 2-1. A lot of high school teams would do it. (Taken out of their comfort zones as well, without checking)

If I could have played without the fear of getting my bell rung I would be in the HOF. ;) :D
