Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #161: Needs More Wub

Good choice. There's nowhere I'd rather have my loved ones. I credit the Mayo Clinic with saving both of my parents lives, in 2 separate incidents.
Considering sheiks go to the Mayo quite often (my uncle, a cop, had to be on guard duty a lot back in the day when sheiks visited), I'd say Mayo is pretty darn quality. ;)

My daughter's 17th birthday today.
Just back from the big mall, she wanted to go to the ice castle dealio to take some pictures - she got a Canon T3i for Christmas - it was really cool. We then went to the Rainforest cafe for dinner. Had never been there before, it was ok.

These are also the same people that have an organ donor that travel with them all the time in case something fails. These organ donors get special rooms rooms in the sheiks personal aircraft 737 or 747

Yes, they may have a bit of money and power. Maybe.

Evening, Lodge.

Imma bout to bust out the shorts!

My brain read that as "bust out my shorts" -- which is something completely different. We'll have to start calling you mookie west! :p

(Best wishes to mademoiselle ge. :) )

For those of you don't that won't check into the MN HS Hockey thread...

Read a tweet tonight..

"Farmington's back up goalie who's a senior started tonight, was tied 2-2 & scored on his own net flicked off the coaches and went off hahah" (I'm assuming it was Senior night.)

Wow, that's quite the legacy.

My source, a very good source, says it was at the Farmington/Chaska game. Chaska won 3-2. It was not Chaska's goaltender.

I know. I'd just like a foot of that snow. This a few inches of snow, melt, a few inches, melt cycle is annoying. I want enough snow to play in! (But not 2 or 3 feet, that's too much)
Yeah, something like a good foot or so of snow would be nice. leave us have a very nice snow pack to have around to do stuff in. Kind of miss being out on the west side of the state were they always got plenty of lake effect stuff.

Just pray you never get called for a federal grand jury.

Had a friend get picked for one. Every Wednesday for EIGHTEEN MONTHS. And they usually tack on a few more months at the end.
My brother got a questionnaire for the Fed Court in Detroit about the same time they was picking a jury for the Kwame Korruption Trial that's just finally suppose to be wrapping up this week they say. He hates driving to anywhere that he doesn't know, and I think the thought of actually getting to sit on that jury made him sick. Turns out they've never called him back yet.

Greetings, Lodgers! I just neg-repped a guy in the Michigan thread for being hysterical, and he went full green to full red. (Post 588 - I hope it's no one you know.)

Wow. I forgot what power we Lodgers wield.
love that feeling.....

I'm not sure what makes me happier. When the Wild win or lose when I don't stay up for the game.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #161: Needs More Wub

They might need those huge truck mounted snowblowers or a front end loader to get a lane line that cleared. At some point the plows just can't throw the snow any more, because there is nowhere else for it to go. I'd bet that Boston doesn't have many of the snowblowers, because they'd need them fairly rarely, and it would take a long time to clear all the roads with a front end loader. I'd be surprised if the public works people haven't been working close to non-stop since the storm hit, there isn't much else they can do, is my guess.
I saw someone yesterday who is working the clean up in Boston. Hasn't been home for more than a few hours since Friday. He was saying what you said. They need to truck it out and that isn't easy. There isn't enough of the right equipment to go around. Apparently in some areas was heavy and the slush they pushed after the light stuff made layers that are really hard to move. Also some areas the plows are working cross purposes. One clears an area, the other one works an adjacent one and plows in some of what the first one did.

Used to live in the city and the people next to us routinely heaved all their snow into the street which then got plowed up onto our place. Used to pizz me off. THeey were complete jerks. Basically said sucks to be you. Did not miss them when we moved out. Our tenants (one now a Maine coach :p) solved this when they moved there by going over and shoveling them out, putting the snow on their front lawn. I would have paid just about anything to see their face after that. The old bat was not a pleasant person and apparently was somewhat speachless when she came out to yell at them and was told they were shoveling her out. :D

I thought the same thing. Brain bleach!
...Hopefully going to get my dad to Mayo on Thursday. The travel day is going to be interesting. If you are so inclined, please send positive vibes our way. FWIW if you ever have to be admitted to Hilton Head Hospital.........try and find another option.
Saying a prayer!

Happy Birthday Keppler!
