I do have chronic back trouble (herniated disc at L5-S1, deteriorated discs on the two above that) and it was giving me trouble that day. I was going to try and skate anyway, but when GE need my helmet it was an easy decision to stay on the bench. Jr skated for me.

Ah, alright. Well glad to hear all is currently well with your back! It was fun having Jr. skate with all of us!

Haircut here at 12:30 and then I've got some major cleaning to do before hockey tonight. I want to have my house and room all picked up so I can relax the next two days. Then it's back to the books.

And judging from the extremely loud sounds of the water pipes, it sounds like I'll have water soon. I hope.

This response is closest to me so far. I don't get flu shots, and I watch them shove the needle in when I actually do get some sort of other vaccine. It is interesting to me.

I'm with you guys! I don't get the flu shot. I gave plasma for a summer and I usually would watch them stick the needle in my vein.:)

I get the flu shot but I am reluctant in getting one. I get mine for the benefit of little g.

So after last night's game Jr's team is 22-2-1 with the two losses coming to teams from Canada and Iowa (I know, but they are a year around team and really well coached). In the two losses, 3-2 and 2-1, all 5 goals against were scored on the PP - our boys should stay out of the box. The one tie came against another Edina team.

We issued a project on 1-3-13. A bunch of changes got made this past week and we were to send out a bunch of drawings and specs today. I asked what date would go on them. I was told by the architect that "it was never officially issued, we're just replacing those sheets and sections no need to change the date." I said that's wrong, there will be problems. I was told to do it that way anyway. The Construction Manager just sent an e-mail to the tune of "what the hell, you didn't change the date on these sheets!"

Duh. Why do people only listen to me on those rare occasions when I'm wrong and not when I'm right?

The old test was worse. It was a contact lens type thing attached to a rod that they would steer into your eye, and you had to watch it coming at you the whole way. My eye doctor had to try it 6 or 7 times per eye because my eyelids would keep closing no matter how hard I tried to keep them open. There's a reason I don't wear contacts.

Same here. Except those finger *****ers that bbdl mentioned. They really don't hurt me at all, but for some reason right before they push the button, I get this feeling it's going to be incredibly painful.

Right there. :p People have tattoos in the most painful places and whine like a baby to get a tetnus shot. I just shake my head.

Spent the day at work fielding panicked people who declined the flu shot when offered and are now having a mental emergency because we have a flu epidemic. I am sick of giving the canned speech- people the flu shot is not a live virus, you can't get the flu from it. It creates herd immunity when a large part of the population gets immunized and that protects the weakest. Just because you aren't sx doesn't mean you aren't shedding virus. If you are exposed and don't get very ill you are the one who is spreading it everywhere becsause it hasn't immobilized you. Even if it does't prevent you from getting the flu totally it will decrease your sx, length of illness and how much virus you shed.

I am more sick of people who insist they have the flu because they coughed once or sneezed. Stupid TV news telling people to call theri Dr at the first sign of illness to get Tamiflu. :rolleyes: I am so glad it is Friday.

Edit- I apparently can't type for Shiz. Too lazy to fix all the typos. Maybe you should read this like those emails they circulate that have oor spelling/numbers and challenge you to read them anyway?

Good evening Lodge.

It has been either raining or misting here since 4 yesterday. Waiting for the temp to drop which will make things quite slick.
