If the world has indeed ended, I don't think a desert is the best place for survival.

Ok, we're going to need a water source, and some good hunting/gathering/farming area. And an ice rink or two.
So you're describing most of MN north of Mankato and south of Bemidji.

OK, what am I missing? If the world ends, we won't be alive. I thought the idea was if it doesn't end tomorrow, we should celebrate on Saturday. And what better place to celebrate than Vegas?
We were thinking that someone always survives the apocalypse. So if it happens and we survive, where would we go.

But if it doesn't happen, Vegas is good. :)

What was wrong with the Vegas suggestion?

Afternoon Lodge. Just had our company pot luck. Way too much food. I made chocolate mousse and there is too much left. I made a triple batch and a single would have sufficed. I don't need to bring it all home as we have too many sweets in the house already.

I wouldn't complain if you dropped it off in Ham Lake this afternoon.

Getting bored sitting at home. Guess this is the bad part about working from home. Wouldn't mind going out for drinks, but don't want to spend the money, I'd rather spend it on a nice dinner. :D

Nah, I had a huge ribeye, with some whipped potatoes and veggies, it was excellent. Now I'm enjoying a Schell's Snowstorm, and **** is it good this year.
