Good evening Lodge.

Yo. Found out today that if you are hired by my company after this year, you are boned on retirement health costs. However, I am happy to say that if I happen to retire with this company, I'm more than good to go, since I will have 25+ years with them at that point. I'll actually have about 39~ years. From the language that was given....it appears they will cover 75% of any health costs in that situation. I'm pretty sure that's really good.

That will be downright outstanding by 2038.

I would like to think so. Of course, things could change. Glad they chose to grandfather us in, though, at this point. Along with the Profit Sharing Plan they have....I should be ok. F U Gub'ment! ;)

Fogged in here at Houma Louisiana tonight. Like, 300 feet or less fogged in. Needless to say, I won't be going anywhere.

Good Morning Lodge.

Went to a high school hockey game last night between two private, Catholic schools. I was amazed at how many people I knew there. Parents on both sides, just casual fans, kids who had buddies playing, etc.

Good morning Lodge and Happy Friday! In the office briefy this morning and then our whole department is going to the Greater Boston Food Bank to volunteer for the morning. Then off to a restaurant for a holiday luncheon and meeting. And then we can head home. Yay!

So, this week I had my year-end review. It was quick, very positive. Then my boss tells me her boss asked her the other week if I ever got any kind of official recognition for all the work I did on the 100th Anniversary that we had earlier this year. When it was all going on, she had told me I probably wouldn't get anything as he (her boss) doesn't really believe in them too much, it was part of my job, etc. And I get that, I do. But others who had smaller parts in it were getting these awards. And to top it off, the head of our department pretty much thanked everyone at a department meeting for all the hard work and effort and never mentioned me. that upset me a lot. Our meetin and event group each got a big award as their manager was retiring right after it and I told my boss this. She didn't know that. So, she lobbied her boss and I got this amazing level of award and an now get a 46" flat screen TV with it! SCORE!! Kind of a nice way to end the year!
