Sooooo, Dave and I are the only ones who saw the classic John Hughes movie Sixteen Candles then? Sure. Fine.

How do I tell hottie bartender he needs to trim his beard? It's getting to be too....much, and it's threatening his hottie status. Well, not really. But he needs to fix that.
I saw it on TV, but only because of Molly Ringwald.

Morning. Through security, definitely getting into amateur traveller season.

Also, going to Appletown for the first time in probably over 18 months tonight for the game against Princeton, extremely excited. Haven't seen hockey in 7 months! Might go see those low life Bobcats tomorrow, depends on my desire to find Bambi.

Good Morning everyone!

So, Lil is going tot eh Semi tonight. He is running in the All State meet tom'w so he and his date got permission to leave the dance early (what a CF trying to get that OK's was!). I have to go pick them up. No experience with having been on a date that a parent drives or being a parnet that drives. This is the first time they have been out. It is 45 minute ride to get her home. WteeeF. Any etiquette pointers on how I am supposed to handle the chauffeur role?

Lil will tell you "If I make my Mum a grandmother then she will be a great grandmother and I will be a dead father" :D

C'mon! Every parent knows that this is when you tell all the most embarrassing stories from lil's childhood!

And it took me a while to figure out what "tot eh Semi" is.

And I think I've seen Sixteen Candles, but I certainly don't remember any lines from it.

Jr will do a light skate at his team's practice today, first time out since he got hurt last Sunday. Then he and I will race to the Gophers-BADgers game.

Johnny Holm plays anything that gets the audience going. Hell, he played "Shipping Up To Boston" on St Pat's Day; kinda surprised me that that song was in his wheelhouse.

I actually did know that T-Day Eve was the 2nd busiest bar day of the year. Holiday.....relatives.....and usually no Eve festivities like on Christmas....yeah, probably gonna want a drink.

Looking forward to the long, peaceful weekend.

We get out of work early, I've scheduled a work happy hr and there's a kickball league event later on

I know how to make it an excruciatingly bad experience. I would like to be a nice Mum and not do that :p

If it were my mother... Don't embarrass me and let us control the radio... So anything that's going on the next day next week or next year are verboten unless initialized by them

Morning, Lojers.

Not everybody can pull off dizzying levels of both hockey and high culture knowledge. :D

I have to carpool four 7th-graders now and then, and I've had success with, "So, is this the part where the other parents start asking 'how your day was'?" Then they're on my side. (They're boys, though, and the other drivers are Moms, so it could be a "the Moms are always asking about our day!" thing. ;) )

I remember two things from that movie. First, the girl's whining about not getting special attention for turning 16...I think. Second, "No more yanky my wanky!" That's all I know about the movie. I don't think I've ever seen it from start to finish.

Dude, when you can carry on a conversation with either young or old Asian women rubbing your ...feet, while laying neked on your back.... I think you've reached that higher level :p

Yep. Pretty much only remember Long Duk Dong or whatever his name was, and even that is hazy. And something about Molly enduring the grandparents' comments of her getting "boobies" or something.

Errand day today, then hunkering down for the (IMO) 2nd biggest rivalry series for MN: the stinkin' BADgers.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #158: Lodge Member's Habits

Great. I just received a news blast from my company that four blocks away there's been gunfire reported. It's just next to the Target store downtown here, technically in the Retek building.

Looks like it was at Target HQ.
