Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #158: Lodge Member's Habits

Good Morning Lodge.

Or a reallllllly good one. ;)

Yeah, much easier to explain to the authorities "yeah he was out hanging lights and for some odd reason fell right off the ladder" then "I don't know who this muzzle loader round hit him."

Where from/to Almsy?

Great news, BPH!

In other news - an ugly bantam game last night. Playing short handed against the team that outplayed our guys the last time and we escaped with a 1-1 tie. Our kids are getting to be really good on the PK. Man, these refs are calling every ticky-tack little thing, and often calling it a major. Felt like our guys stole a point last night.

My Mom decided that her current 3200 sqft house in Tonka was just to big and expensive now that it's just her (with me as an inditerminant term guest/squatter) so she purchased a townhouse in chanhassen out near lake susan with the master on the main floor so she doesn't have to deal with stairs on a daily basis or deal with yard work and exterior maintenance. Overall it will cut housing related costs roughly in half.

Morning.

Not heading out to the ATL till Thursday morning for the Thanksgiving weekend. One of the advantages of living in the same time zone now, is that its a nice tidy 1.5 hour flight with no lost time.

Beautiful day here in 320ville.

Spent a chunk of the day hanging Xmas lights.

Almost met my maker though. I was on the ladder hanging some lights and suddenly I heard a gun shot and almost simultaneously something similar in sound to a bottle rocket whiz over my head. I called the sheriff. Turns out my closest neighbor (about 300 yards away) was sighting in his muzzle loader. The deputy said that the direction the idiot was shooting was towards my house and the top third of my house was visible from where he was standing. I have extensive experience with firearms and that bullet was fricken close.
Yikes dude!!!

Mmmm..... morning. sitting here at work covering what was suppose to be a busy tuesday morning shift here at Balance. right now I only have one.... err... make that two sessions on the books here. Not really doing a whole lot right now other than listening to the contractors outside burn off their deer hunting hangovers as they get back to work on putting in the roof on our expansion. wish they would stop dropping stuff on it.

Howdy. Had a 4 point in my scope yesterday afternoon but he never gave me a shot I was going to take. Last year I wounded a small spike and we couldn't find it. Didn't want that to happen again, since I felt worse about not knowing if the deer was alive or not than I would simply not taking the shot.

Drunk last night with the forecast calling for more drunk nights leading up to Thanksgiving.

I know exactly where that town-home would be. I grew up in the neighborhood nearby.

Day started really slow....so at 2ish, they ask me (since I have seniority over the other offsite guy) if I want to take voluntary time off. I ask him if he wants it instead, because he has the day off tomorrow, and I almost always take VTO. He thinks about it and says sure.

Ooops. Business picked up hardcore, and it was a very busy day, even compared to normal. Got out at about 7:30. He owes me.

Sounds like a showerbeer kind of night.
