Not sure what he was thinking. I have only met him a few times. I thought for sure he would stop by and apologize. Hasn't happened yet. Disappointing to say the least.

Hope you get some Kevlar for Christmas.

I live in a semi rural area. Ordinance is that you cannot shoot if within 500 feet of an occupied dwelling. So technically he was not breaking any rules. His problem? He recently moved here from cityslickerville. :D (He also has two young children.)

Part of me wants to return the favor. However, I am going to let it be and the next time I see him I will provide my opinion.

320ville will now be referenced as Gazaville. ;)

Maybe you need to start setting controlled blazes in the direction of his house. "Whoops, was that your car? Don't worry, a little wax after it cools down and it'll be just fine."

No crap. Speaking of, I hope you changed your S&SS afterwards!

PS: Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. :) My aunt still has some recovery ahead, but it isn't as serious by a long shot.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #158: Lodge Member's Habits

Beautiful day here in 320ville.

Spent a chunk of the day hanging Xmas lights.

Almost met my maker though. I was on the ladder hanging some lights and suddenly I heard a gun shot and almost simultaneously something similar in sound to a bottle rocket whiz over my head. I called the sheriff. Turns out my closest neighbor (about 300 yards away) was sighting in his muzzle loader. The deputy said that the direction the idiot was shooting was towards my house and the top third of my house was visible from where he was standing. I have extensive experience with firearms and that bullet was fricken close.

hmmmm.. have the in-laws made friendly with the neighbor? :D

Funny you should mention that. The in laws stopped by unexpectedly this afternoon to drop off a Xmas wreath.............

And you decided to hang it? Never wondered why it looked like a target?

Plus they gave me a hooded sweatshirt with antlers and then Mrs. g dramatically increased my life insurance. All coincidence.................:)
