Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #157: Hockey Watching Habits

You might be better off hoping that stays because you sure as hell don't want any update on how poorly BU is playing right now.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #157: Hockey Watching Habits

Can we get Giada to cook for the *HT or at least visit? I have been spending a lot of time there lately. :(

Now bidding on a home-cooked meal from Giada herself. And . . . just a moment . . . I've been handed a note . . . Ladies and gentlemen, Giada has just informed us, she will also include personally comforting your sorrows by cradling your worried head deep in the nurturing protection of her declotage! Bidding starts at one thousand dollars. Do I hear a thousand?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #157: Hockey Watching Habits

This may post twice but at the moment I don't give a flying **** if it does. I am on my way to the *HT and I expect a large and very alcohol-filled martini. And I don't want anyone to talk to me. This table is all mine tonight, understood?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #157: Hockey Watching Habits

Good Morning Lodge.

Congrats to lil! Great job!

Didn't spend too much at the fund raiser for BSM School last night (other than the tickets which were **** expensive in themselves). I didn't spend $4,000 for dinner at the home of two of the teachers as some others did, nor $2,000 for a front row parking spot at school for a year, or $3,500 for tickets to the US open. They raised some serious ching at the live auction. I bought tickets to a local dinner theater and an autographed poster of Jordan Leopold, paid less than stated value for each.
Priorities are a bit screwed up when a dinner with teachers rates more than the Open

S'upp y'all

Club had 'member appreciation free food night' last night. Mookie played golf in the morning and consumed about half a case during and after. Then came home to shower and drank some more. Then went back up for free food and decided to only have Martinis (4), topped off by a vodka and fresca - Mookie is not sure why.
Well, suffice to say Mookie wasn't singing "drunk as hell but no throwing up" while he golfed today cause he did.. Ralph... A lot around 530a today.

Mookie was still drunk when he played this morning, as evidenced by his start of four double bogeys in a row. Ugh...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #157: Hockey Watching Habits

Good grief, mookie. I haven't done something like that in a long time.

Good evening Lodge.

18 degrees feel like 2 in 320ville.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #157: Hockey Watching Habits

It was in the 60's today. It might snow tomorrow night.

OK I laughed a lot when I read this. Thanks Mookie. I can relate to double bogeys too well. :D

No. I thought I heard the Crowne Plaza is already booked full. You probably should have started planning a couple months ago.

alright... I'm still going to wait... but not much longer... still want something downtown

edit: who is coordinating the crazy... bbdl?

edit #2: ok, I see that there are really limited options (esp. w gov rate)

Good luck, I mean that. There are only a couple hotels right there, and two of them are filled right now (if my info is correct).

Edit: GPL does the tailgate organization. Other than that, it's kind of smaller groups that decide what to do on their own after the games, but it's usually Reid's bar, a couple blocks from the arena.

You may want to start drinking some water now Mookie, help prevent that whole alcohol kicking your *** in the morning feeling that you're going to have if you crash now.

well, bbdl was the one who invited me out... I'm not averse to cabs but just a matter of how far away... I see minneapolis/st. paul public transit sucks.

That it does. There are hotels near St Paul DT that are cabbable (or long long walk). But DT St Paul isn't the center of nightlife in the Twin Cities.

Ah... I start sending around off board e-mails to get a handle on the situation. All that truly matters is going from Point A to Point B.

Generally, once you get from the hotel to the arena area, you're there until you want to go back to the hotel for the night. And with the earlier start to the games on weekdays, it means earlier start to the tailgate. Last year, a few of us were there at 9am.
