Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #157: Hockey Watching Habits
Powered flickered for a bit last night. Mom got a little excited about whether or not she could watch the end of Dancing with the Stars for a bit, but then it popped back on. I was kind of nervous about that because I still had a bunch of notes to do and its all online, so that could have screwed me there. Quite a few branches and trees down here and along US-12. The one that did kind of surprised me though was this old tree that's part of a fence here for one of our pastures that's been leaning up against another walnut tree for a few years now. All of that blowing wind, and that sucker is still right there.I am thankful that I don't have to deal with the brunt of this storm. Happy that I don't have to worry about flooding. But dam it, it sucks to not have power. Getting ready for work when it is dark and the only light you have are flashlights and candles is difficult.
Luckily, work has power, and I can just plug in my crock pot and cook here for our potluck today.
Hope everyone is staying safe.
