Good Morning, Lodge!

Head cold is somewhat getting better. I think it is a good sign when you don't wake up that often in the middle of the night to get a drink of water.

Tumor Board will be reviewing Mom's 4 month cancer checkup CT today. I'm a big ball of nerves, to say the least.

The double-posting is a sign that you're still foggy... :p

Good Morning Lodge.

How many miles to 10K Ralph? ;)

Met the kid's coach last night, already have a sponsor for our team ($1500 for your name on the jerseys). Away tourney is in Duluth, yay! Already have some volunteers to help with the team, yay!

I chose Breezy Point for our away tournament; should be a blast!

I also registered us awhile back for Shakopee and Eden Prarie.. I figured this way I'd for sure get more metro games for our kids.

Afternoon, all. Needing a productive day today. First practice of our hockey season tonight as well; in highly anticipating it, to say the least!

Morning.

Went to see an opera this weekend. It was good, you know, for an opera.
Must have been Rigoletto; you're in Pittsburgh, right? They've got a good company. And if you have to see a Verdi opera, at least Rigoletto gets you out in under four hours. And it's got the Pillsbury breadstick song! :p
4 hours....at an opera?
I don't understand how people hate themselves so much that they would do that. It is sad.

I work at a theater (one of my many side jobs) and I agree. Operas... yeah. No thanks, I don't want to sit and listen to a bunch of women with annoying voices singing a language I don't have any interest in understanding. (That is, unless Giada wants to talk with me in Italian. La mia dolce... ;))

Afternoon, Lodge.

I sent you an e-mail about Breezy. We are in Bloomington, Anoka and our home tourney as well as Duluth.

Much appreciated. I just finally was able to hear her out and understand the story. The two people involved were both at my girlfriend's cabin. One, her best friend, had two drinks, and decided he wanted to take a leisurely cruise around the lake on his motorcycle before he drank anymore. Another kid, who wasn't at the cabin very long, asked to borrow somebody's crotchrocket. The owner of this bike said no, you've been drinking all night. The owner apparently didn't have the keys, as the kid who was previously denied access to the bike managed to get the keys.

Her best friend was estimated at cruising at about 25 mph around the lake. Kid #2 on the crotch rocket was estimated at going at a speed of nearly one hundred miles per hour. Kid #2 ran into my girlfriend's best friend. Both were taken to the hospital, where best friend was pronounced dead, and kid #2 is still alive, I dont know the exact condition.

The scene, as described to me, was of that of a horror movie, just two doors down from her cabin. I won't go any further with that.

Another unfortunate mishap of idiotic decision making caused from alcohol consumption.

Just as a follow up, the kid was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #156: The Ultimate Showdown

Got a call from the Girlfriend this morning. She got let go from her job this morning. She's been having some issues with the staff and her schedule there, and its really been clashing as she's been dealing with the death of her best friend Larry. Heck, she was suppose to have last saturday all off so that we could be up to GVSU for the whole weekend. But she had two requests on the schedule that they didn't want to reschedule. Thankfully, they were both pretty early in the day there, and we hauled *** across Michigan and only lost out on about an hour of tailgating. And I did get to make the best of having to wait there for her to finish by getting in with the therapist there that does Ashiatsu Massage. That's massage with the feet. really nice, relaxing and deep work there. Still, they were giving her a lot of static about taking all that time off, for Larry and the funeral. And honestly, I've seen their schedule, and its nowhere nearly as packed as what ours is over at Balance Massage, so I don't really know what their freaking problem is with really needing to have her on when there was plenty of other openings that day.

There's this older woman who is a contractor here in the department and she's been coughing for the last two days. Doesn't sound like a cough when you have a cold or anything. It's annoying and needs to stop.

Got to take all 3 boys skating at Mariucci on Sunday. Good times! Even finally convinced all to get a pic with Goldy. At least one has always been afraid until now. Probably the only time all 4 of us will be on the ice at the same time as each of their seasons are starting up.

Smoker's cough? Either way, that is annoying.
