Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #156: The Ultimate Showdown

sorry to read ctf. mookie lost his uncle (mom's brother) quickly this summer. he had a growth in his chest and couldn't swallow. he was losing it due to alzheimers and kept forgetting he couldn't eat. (makes me laugh, but i knew him so i can :) ) as he was losing weight my cousing took him to the dr and they found the **** and it was too late. got to see him twice going back to pa. first time he was still at home and sitting outside with an ensure (mookie could cry just thinking about it). couple weeks later he had started chemo and was in the hospital cause it was n't going well and i stopped by. couldn't talk, but he turns his right hand like he's swinging a club to get me talking about my summer season. when we left i kissed him goodbye, and he died a week later.

(last summer at his 75th birthday with sasha)

kiss your mom. dr's can do a lot when they have time.

I work at a theater (one of my many side jobs) and I agree. Operas... yeah. No thanks, I don't want to sit and listen to a bunch of women with annoying voices singing a language I don't have any interest in understanding. (That is, unless Giada wants to talk with me in Italian. La mia dolce... ;))

Afternoon, Lodge.

go see a G&S. i'd suggest the mikado. laugh yer arse off.

Thanks, guys.
Prayers are what are really gonna count here.
They caught it early (two peritoneal "deposits", one 1.5 cm & one smaller). They'll do a special radiation that only lasts a week or two. Our hope is that it's due to a) the slight spillage when they removed her kidney & adrenal gland or b) it's because her chemo hadn't yet reached a "therapeutic level". It's a special kind of chemo for adrenal cancer. It's basically DDT. They slowly increase the dose to minimize bad side effects.

Is she coming back to Ann Arbor for the treatments, or is she staying up there??

Sorry to hear about everything ctf, best wishes for a full recovery!

Waking up early to fly 3 legs on Southwest (Tampa-Columbus, OH-Baltimore-LGA (Ugh.)), then I hear there's a playoff baseball game happening in the Bronx, maybe I'll go check it out.

Good Morning Lodge.

We have an interview this morning for a project of a type I've never worked on before (adaptive reuse of an historic building - some of the old Ft. Snelling barracks for the locals). I brought my tap shoes.;)
