Well one upside to moving. MSP high today is 48. brrr. Gonna be 74 here today.

Of course that cold front will move east and it'll be in the 50's this weekend. But let me gloat for 1 damn day! :D

Yeah, it's *ing cold. I don't have my "cold" blood running yet. Ugh.

230 bu/acre corn and 60 bu/acre beans all coming out of the field dry, so no need to run it through the dryer. We're in the tiny sliver of the country that actually has both decent soil and got enough rain this season. Bumper crop at $9 corn and $19 beans...its the season dreams are made of.

and nobody with even an ounce of self respect would get into a red combine
Sounds like a fantastic year. We're getting 160-180 bu/acre corn, beans were at 50 or so, still a pretty good year considering how bad it could've been.

Better dead than red. Nothin' runs like a Deere.

Chili turned out great last night, and I made the cinnamon rolls fresh, so dinner was great!

Friday. Finally.

Good Morning Lodge.

More bantam tryouts tonight. I'm not volunteering though, just watching. And more tomorrow and then Sunday and finally done then (I hope).

Both Mrs goldy and goldy Jr. have bad colds. I'm pounding zinc, C, B and trying to avoid it. I'm sure I'll get it, but hope it's not as bad as they have it. And Mrs goldy gets to fly to PA tomorrow to see to her dad. Jr and I will be batching it for a week.
Hope you all get better.

Are all parents allowed to watch your tryouts?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #156: The Ultimate Showdown

Definitely John Deere Green. Brand new (as of the start of the year), and it cost more than a Ferrari.

If they're smart, they're insured. They won't get a lot, but insurance will be enough to get them through the year.
Yeah, I would hope they paid for their crop insurance this year.

You know anybody with extra hay setting around their barn, tell em to load it up and ship it out this way. We don't need it, but there's a lot of people around here that are going to need some to get thru the winter here.

I thought it was beautiful out this morning. If it wasn't so windy it would have been perfect.

Mrs. g had a cold that turned into a nasty cough. She went into the clinic on Monday and the doctor mentioned she may have had whooping cough (never tested her for it though.?) I am currently in the clinic as little g has developed a nasty cough the past 48 hours........

Yikes! Hope your pertusis vaccination is up to date. If not better get it done.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #156: The Ultimate Showdown

I see you slowly turning. It is good. Turn to the dark side.......
Pfffft. I've thought that shirt was hilarious since the day it came out.
Good, good. I thought it was hilarious too. I haven't seen you post something THAT obviously controversial, though (could be my bad).

One of my gay friends, raised on a farm, has that shirt. :o

Afternoon, Lodge. Speaking of shirts, I don't understand why people like shirts with ribcages printed on them. Makes me want to punch them and see if their shirt breaks.

Idiots who use reply all on distribution lists shouldn't be allowed to use email.

We had an intern do that here earlier in the week... All to promote her pet for the "pet idol" competition... There are a few hundred participants... I swear I work at a day care.

Hooboy... Anti-whooping cough pills are so much fun
