Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #156: The Ultimate Showdown

That's what took the life out of me. Between the ride from Holland to Chicago and then Chicago to the Twin Cities, it was 12 hours either on a train or waiting for one.

By the way, I'm grateful for the food court in Union Station. I was able to avoid paying ridiculously high prices for food on the train.

And I've visited the mills, Mall of America, Minnehaha Falls, and got to see the Metrodome, Target Field, and the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus. Hoping either today or tomorrow I can get over to Matt's Bar or Gasthof's.

Too bad about Minnehaha Falls. It's no where near what it should be with this drought.

So, did any of you go see Taken 2 tonight? I did. Was your theater completely full like the theater I was at? And if you went to this R-rated action movie with lots of explosions and violent stuff in a completely full theater, was there also a baby there in a car seat because the parents were too ****ing full of themselves to find a babysitter or just stay in and rent a movie? Just me? OK.
Yes. Yes. No.

Morning, tLodge. What'd I miss? :)

There was a rumor on here that some guy who always bricks made time with some girl from the bar. Most of us chose not to believe it.

BTW, I could use a refill. Some Whioux fan doesn't like me making fun of Goon on the DI thread even though Goon was fine with it.

Bob, the falls wasn't falling, was it? And what is your bib number in case I get out to watch tomorrow?

When it takes 12 hours to travel between them on Amtrak yet?

My bib is 5394. And you got your refill!

Howdy. Watching football with one eye while keeping the other panning my living room for the lizard that somehow managed to sneak under my sliding glass door and is enjoying my AC. Probably a spy from Geico trying to get me to use them for insurance. #lizardhunting

You couldn't have had to work that late. You know how they roll. (Can't say we; I'm in Indiana for the weekend.)

When it takes an hour to drive home and get over to that side of the cities, yeah, it wasn't really feasible. I could have been there for an hour or two, but when the total travel time is more than the time spent at the bar, it's not worth it.

Holy hell, this new Deere has more bells and whistles than a BMW. Its badass. There 2 different touchscreens that can control everything.

Can it prepare bacon? If not, then it's missing either a bell or a whistle. :)
