Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #155: Back to School

Also, I was invited to go on a 4 country, 2 week, business development trip to South America, with 2 high level directors/managers today! Which would be pretty sweet, if I can convince my supervisor to pay for it. It would be early 2013, and we would hit up 4 countries that we want to push to expand our footprint in, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia and Argentina. Really hope I can make this work.

You're either going to get eaten by a leopard, or shot up by a drug kingpin.

I wouldn't walk out (although I have done that at one job before). And from most accounts it's not DHead Boss' issues. It's corporate allowing us to hire more people, and the fact that a couple people have left. Business just keeps growing, too. We're having a record week this week. I've given up caring, however. I just do my job and if they don't like how fast it's getting done, then we may have a problem. :)

Anyways, at least some of my OT this month allowed me to buy a Kluwe jersey. Simple pleasure, right there.

w000000000000000000000000000t!! Lil won his first Varsity race going away. I don't really care what place he comes in (as long as he is happy) but he does. His caring so much is a lot more stressful.

Congrats!

No one can fold fitted sheets, especially Queen- or King-sized.
I've seen it done, but I still think there's some sort of witchcraft involve in it.

Making a double batch of oatmeal chocolate chip raisin cookies tomorrow.
Ohhh.... want!!!

And I think I'm going to need your shovel Hammer. Got a notice in the mail here tonight saying that I terminated my car insurance policy effective September 6th, 2012. I'm pretty sure I didn't ask to cancel it, and I did pay the bill last month to boot. So about the only thing I can think of is that somehow my father went and canceled a bunch of insurance policies, and some how mine dropped as well, even though he hasn't paid one red cent for it on my car.:mad::mad:

God I wish they would hurry up and settle on the divorce here!!:(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #155: Back to School

Grandmother had her knee replaced two weeks ago or so, my dad didn't like the idea of her getting it done up in NY (she winters in Ft Myers, where they have literally a doctor for everything in a block or two), but whatever. Recovery seemed to be going alright, but she took a spill last evening, wasn't found for 2 hours. Just got airlifted to a major hospital. Prelim diagnosis has a c6/c7 break, paralyzed from nipple line down. Prayers appreciated, might be headed home soon.

Edit: So the ER doctor and radiologist couldn't find a severed spine on CT scan or xray, being diagnosed a bruised spine for right now. Not out of the woods by any means, but more optimistic than initial outlook.

Good luck to your grandmother.
