Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #155: Back to School

Grandmother had her knee replaced two weeks ago or so, my dad didn't like the idea of her getting it done up in NY (she winters in Ft Myers, where they have literally a doctor for everything in a block or two), but whatever. Recovery seemed to be going alright, but she took a spill last evening, wasn't found for 2 hours. Just got airlifted to a major hospital. Prelim diagnosis has a c6/c7 break, paralyzed from nipple line down. Prayers appreciated, might be headed home soon.

Edit: So the ER doctor and radiologist couldn't find a severed spine on CT scan or xray, being diagnosed a bruised spine for right now. Not out of the woods by any means, but more optimistic than initial outlook.
Prayers for you all.

made it out of my bar's karaoke finals to the metro dc finals... yay! off to centreville next wednesday

Happy BIrthday Shirtless!

Yikes! Good luck.

Good Morning Lodge.

Sorry hp. Hope everything works out for her.

Congrats Patman and lil!

My wife can fold fitted sheets. I have no clue how.

Good morning Lodge. Leaving work at 2:30 (I hope) today to fly out to the left coast. It's my annual Emmys trip!! I do not know how or why things get so nuts and crazy every time I leave for vacation.

Part of my problem is that my arms are too short to maneuver queen-sized sheets properly.

Has the airline been informed so that they can position the crying babies? ;)

I have folded fitted sheets before, but it took me a long time to do it and make them look like they should. I don't usually do it though, I take them off the bed, wash them, and put them back on the bed again, no folding necessary.

Its Voodoo!!! Black Magic I tells ya!!!

Good news on the car insurance front. Turns out that it wasn't my father screwing around with my policy. Looks more like somebody else was canceling their policy but somehow the agent punched in the wrong policy number, which ended up being my number. So it sounds like its getting all fixed now and it should be covered now. Which is good because I was just thinking of calling them up to figure out what my coverage is for glass. picked up another stone chip in my windshield Tuesday and that makes the grand tally of those to be three. All of them are either down low or off to the side where it doesn't really affect my vision any, but its also has had a little crack along the bottom of it and with the new stone chip, I'm betting that that's going to start spreading.
