OMG - where are you? I love the Cape. What a great day weather-wise.

It was a perfect day!
Now at the Hampton near Hyannis, just ate in Hyannis. Didn't get off the ferry until almost 7 so not much time to explore which we will do tomorrow morning. Meeting some cousins of the boss tomorrow afternoon at their home in Burlington.

the cape is the cape.
the vineyard is the vineyard.

Was on the Vineyard. Now on the Cape, mookster. :D

Turns out we were accidental political stalkers today. I was just looking at a map online after we got back to the hotel and while driving around looking for a place to eat that overlooked the ocean we pretty much drove past the Kennedy Compound. Should have stopped & looked for rum. :)

:D

I'm going to UConn/Maryland tomorrow... the NCAA just declared one of Maryland's basketball players academically ineligible... for iffy classes he took at "Notre Dame of Down The Street"... Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg... I'm from Fitchburg, MA... this is going to be fun :)

Fun? Watching a game between Maryland and UCONN sounds like torture. :p
The same kind of torture people that go to the Minnesota-Western Michigan game tomorrow want to endure.

Good morning Lodge.

Nothing like waking up in a tent in 29 degree weather. Camp fire is blazing. Coffee, bacon and Omlettes have been served.

Up and out walking at 7:10am. Perfect timing as it just started to sprinkle when I got home and by the time I got out of the shower it was gray and raining. At the hair salon now for my pre-Emmys cut and color. Mani/pedi later. Need to start packing this weekend!

If I make it out of the office without going upside someone's head with a shovel I'll be amazed.

Hello, I am sunburned. UConn beat Maryland. That is all.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #155: Back to School

So, I was playing euchre earlier today (before anyone asks, I have roots in Western NY, so that's how I know the game), did not know that the score was 9-6 (I was on Yahoo Games and my computer has some issues with Java and Firefox), and was playing Stick the Dealer. I was dealt all four jacks with an ace, the up-card gives me Dutchmen if I call, and an opponent had the deal. I ended up passing thinking we were on 8, the dealer picks up, and I throw down the Dutchmen for the set (in turn, of course). After winning, I'm immediately called a bush wacker, and opponents leave all ticked off. Smart play, or not? I fully expect a political thread follower to say they expect nothing less of me.

I don't recall exactly how you play the game, but Euchre is big in NY? That's a Sconnie game (and Da UP), along with Sheep's Head around these parts. Kind of an ID of where one is from....
