Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #154: Olympics

I understand why people would do that. If they like the work, but have nowhere to put it in their homes, it's better that they don't buy because then it could likely just be tossed into the closet and never appreciated. Back in the day, my mom would have bought the art and the exact scenario I described would have come to fruition. Many times over.

A lot of this is crochet work and they act like little kids having to touch it. The items are functional like the market bags that I make. My other favorite comment was "I have this pattern!" If you have the pattern, then make it and not say it while I am trying to sell to others.

At the gate. I have a funny feeling I won't get on this flight. When I booked I couldn't select seats. When I checked in online this morning it said I had to get my seat assignment at the gate. The........never mind. They just called me and I got my seat. Yay! Now I can get something to eat.
Theyy couldn't assign you a seat until they knew where the babies were. ;)

Made a good ol' fashioned sloppy joe meal, and spiced it up a little. That right there is comfort food.

Used 2lbs of beef and the large can of Manwich, and added a green pepper and an onion (both diced), a jalapeno pepper and two serrano peppers (both sliced), and some habanero/cayenne BBQ sauce. Yeah, it'll make you sweat a little. :D

Nice. My boys and I are huge Manwich fans. Adlibs are cool

Probably a good thing you live alone!

Not a fan of sloppy joes.
Fun day at Target Field, ended up along the right field line, lower deck, 2nd row right about where the stands meet the right field foul line. Very fun.

I prefer my sloppy joes to be made with chicken gumbo versus Manwich. Jalapeño I get but Serrano and habanero/cayenne BBQ sauce. You are loco. ;)

I've been accused of worse. :D

The BBQ sauce is actually a slowwwwwww heat, not an immediate one like the jalapeno/serrano. The heat really lingers, too.

On a scale of 1- 10 with 10 being hotter than the sun like ketchup where would it fall? :p

If a jalapeno is a 5 on that scale, I'd say that the sauce starts at a 4, but a few minutes later it ends up being a 7. It's tough to say. It's like comparing dry heat (Vegas) to humid heat (MN summers). One just kicks you in the face, the other just feels really really warm like an oven.

Edit: I have taste-tested the ghost pepper hot sauce before. That is other-worldly.

On my scale ketchup is at 10. :D
